Aww ...

If it's any consolation, even though I *could* put the tennis on, I know I wouldn't get any work done ... so I don't dare to do it either. :(

Gonzo won though! :yahoo:

Now Djoko is on next - and then The Mighty Fed against Canas!

ark_28 - October 18, 2007 10:43 AM (GMT)
Good performance from Gonzo winning 6-4 6-2

Good luck with that then! :ok:

I'm sure you'll at least take a look when Fed-Canas comes on ... :)

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 11:19 AM (GMT)
From 30-0 up, Ferrero drops his serve when Djoko wins 4 points in a row.

5-3, Djoko serving for the first set.

ark_28 - October 18, 2007 11:24 AM (GMT)
Nole takes first set 6-3

Dinky Jo - October 18, 2007 11:49 AM (GMT)
JCF is a break up :yikes:

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 11:52 AM (GMT)
3-0 for Ferrero in the second :o

Novak holds; 3-1. He won't be worried yet; he's only a break down, and a set up after all.

Dark_Necrofear™ - October 18, 2007 12:06 PM (GMT)
scores guys what is the score?

ark_28 - October 18, 2007 12:09 PM (GMT)
JCF wins set 2 6-2

ark_28 - October 18, 2007 12:10 PM (GMT)
Djokovic 6 2
Ferrero 3 6*

Dark_Necrofear™ - October 18, 2007 12:14 PM (GMT)
1 Set a piece :yikes:

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 12:16 PM (GMT)
Djokovic lost the second 6-2! :o

That means he was broken again in the last game - but he returns the favor at the beginning of the third, to go 1-0 up.

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 12:41 PM (GMT)
4-2 Novak --- deuce on Ferrero's serve.

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 12:43 PM (GMT)
Ferrero holds to shorten Novak's lead to 4-3. However, if he cannot manage to break here, he will be in an increasingly desperate position.

EDIT: or you can go via the madrid site that TM has posted :)

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 12:46 PM (GMT)
Djokovic goes ahead to 5-3 ... the air is getting thin for Ferrero ...

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 12:49 PM (GMT)
Ferrero saves match point ... but it certainly seems as if he's only postponing the inevitable.

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
Good fighting hold for Ferrero to make it 5-4, but now Djoko has the chance to serve out the match, and somehow I doubt he'll falter ...

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 01:05 PM (GMT)
Djokovic d Ferrero 6-3 2-6 6-4. Fed next! :yahoo:

Dinky Jo - October 18, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)

Miss Suzi - October 18, 2007 01:35 PM (GMT)
:) 5-0 up..this is way too easy...... something is not right....

Dinky Jo - October 18, 2007 01:37 PM (GMT)
bugger - knowles and Murray just lost

Miss Suzi - October 18, 2007 01:39 PM (GMT)
:) 6-0.... I'm quite worried about set 2..now..... there might be a devil in the details

Dinky Jo - October 18, 2007 01:40 PM (GMT)
woooo! bagel :yahoo:

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 01:42 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, a yummy yummy bagel. :yahoo:

Does anyone else think he was looking to put an end to Canas's winning streak against him? :P

Tbh, I don't think Fed quite looks like he's 'in the zone', as in the AO v Roddick in the second set. He's not actually coming in that much, but playing consistent, aggressive, and *smart* from the baseline, outplaying Canas in every department.

Dark_Necrofear™ - October 18, 2007 01:42 PM (GMT)
Looks like my man is in Dark mode.A bagel is definetly a sign of vengence!

:darkangel:

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 01:44 PM (GMT)
It's a good thing poor chet isn't around ... I don't think he'd be happy ...

mightyjeditribble - October 18, 2007 01:48 PM (GMT)
Canas finally gets on the scoreboard to make it 1-1 in the second.
