I'd like to congratulate Andy on his win yeseterday over Roddick in straight sets. It was amazing. :ok: :ok: :ok:
Could not have been much better, it was a total dismantaling and out foxing of the grass world number 3. Murray showed all round shot making talent and great composure and maturity on court. What a great thinker, he completely out manouvred the hapless Roddick and was almost ruthless out there. I liked his tactics and his touch on the ball at times was brilliant. He kept his serve consitent too. Yes there is room fo rimprovement, but I dont; think his critics have much comeback at the moment. He has shown he has lots of potential and talent, it's just a matter fo bringing it together, being more consitent, adding a touch more power and wrkign on fitness. I hear thea Connor smigh tbe helping him after Wimbers, well you could not ask fo ra better mentor than that. Connors is a legend, you think Hewitt and Nadal can fight, well they pwe a lot to Connors.
I notice that few have congratulated him on the BBC and on here, which is a disgrace as the boy did great, no argument about that. Well I think some of those harsh critics of recent weeks have been given a right kick in the mouth, as Murray kept his mouth shut and let his racquet do the talking, and my God did it talk! It was just what us Brits needed after that dreadful England perfomance in the World Cup, I turned over just as we had lost to Portugal and saw Murray win a set, how great was that?
Oh and the trolls can argue all they like about England and Scotland on the BBC, I don't give a stuff I see myself as British so I will happliy support Murray and am very proud fo his achievement yesterday. He needed to make his point and he did it even better than his fans might have dreamt of. I actually bet 3-1 on him, so he did too well, naughty! Well done anyway,
Good luck next round Andy, you have a great chance against Baghdatis. :ok:
Hi SB :D
He really played exceptionally well. He clearly showed that he has the natural touch that Roddick doesn't, and used it to his advantage. I was very impressed by his mental skills; his tactics were superb, and he didn't stutter with the finishing line in sight. And his serve was good - sometimes, it can be somewhat of a liability, but yesterday his first serve percentage was high enough to take control of the points.
Well done Andy!
