Title: Japan Open Draw

trisco - October 1, 2007 03:13 PM (GMT)
Looks like Bally has qualified and doesn't look to be in too bad a part of the draw.

I like Elena and I feel sorry for her. Seh was pushing the top 100 a while ago and then got struck with all those illnesses liver problems was it? She did seem to have a mental attitude that is above the average Britsh woman player and i think that si a shame. :(

Yeah but if Venus is insisting on playing Tier III and IVs what does she expect? roflmao

Venus' blog is really interesting actually, more insight into her as a person than I've ever had before. She comes across as really nice, great to see her comments about Lindsay.

Hopefully she'll make Tokyo her fourth title of the year.

trisco - October 3, 2007 02:45 PM (GMT)
Bally is out losing to Razzano 2 and 2

dl04 - October 4, 2007 03:26 PM (GMT)
Venus still plugging away in Asia

Gets revenge for her Aussie Open departure in 05 over Molik with a 7-6 6-3 victory. Not a great scoreline, but she's still winning and gaining momentum for hopefully a berth at madrid :D

Wozniacki next, i'm always worried about these young 16 years old. Always give Venus something to think about  roflmao

Caroline Wozniacki.. Denmark's big hope!

I think that she was the finalist at junior Wimbledon last year (maybe won it?). Good to see her doing well. Scolios will be pleased!! :D

Venus should of course win comfortably. :)

dl, what's this 'I'm always worried about these young 16 year olds' thing?? haven't you only recently turned 17 or something? :P Maybe they are young by the time that you reach 17 or 18 or whatever, these days

I'm 17 Petalp, virtually past it now roflmao

I meant in context with tennis, these young girls seem to have a mission to give Venus anxious moments :yikes: roflmao

Still, if she were to win 6-1 6-1, i wouldnt be complaining :D

Go Venus!

dl04 - October 5, 2007 08:19 AM (GMT)

True but the Wimbledon champ and world number 8 playing back to back Tier IV and III events?! :yikes:

I still don't get it...

chokapova - October 6, 2007 11:58 AM (GMT)
and after all that she can't beat Razzano!

Despite having three match points! :yikes:

She was quite clearly injured, something even the biggest williams sisters haters could hardly deny. Although I'm sure some will try, their hate seems to know no limits.

But all credit to Razzano, as Venus said she played really well when it mattered.

I like Venus... :)

I just wish she had played Stuttgart!

Oh I wasn't talking about you specifically, :) .

Just other people who I've noticed on here who seem to have serious issues, an obsession with their diminutive idol and a pathalogical hatred of Serena particularly.

dl04 - October 6, 2007 01:38 PM (GMT)
Oh Venus :( :( :(

Gave it her all, but apparently so hampered by injury throughout the match. Just rest now Vee, i think your madrid spot is imminent

Razzano- wow! :o It takes guts to beat Venus, regardless of injury. Well played :ok:

I just hope Vee is ok for the rest of the year :(

Poor Venus! :(

But she is down to play Thailand along with JJ! :yikes:

Manzikert - October 6, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)
Didn't expect Venus to play back-to-back events without some sort of injury intervening, unfortunately. Still would've liked to have seen her take at least one of those match points after getting that far. =P She seems to have held them in a couple of losses this year. Ah well.

I suppose Bangkok is out of the question now? As mentioned, Jankovic is also slated to play. I would guess even if they show up they'd be susceptible to any tricky players in the draw (Peer's name is looming large among them) owing to fatigue.

T01 - October 6, 2007 04:25 PM (GMT)
Oh dear Venus: What happened to you there? Lost to Razzano??

I wonder how injured Venus really is, it says on her blog she is off to Thailand and she is still down to play in Bangkok... :yikes:
