Am I the only one who thinks the tournament website is cr@p?
Good results for the Germans here, with Kiefer knocking out 3rd seed Mathieu, and Schuettler taking out 7th seed Benneteau, both in straight sets.
Bjoern Phay is also through, meaning that all the Germans in the draw have made it to the second round. :)

gasquet or hewitt for this title please. but if the 1 or 2 seed is not interested, i'll take kiefer to surprise. great start yesterday knocking out mathieu rather easily :)

Gasquet will play his childhood hero Santoro in the semifinals.
Schuettler knocked out Hewitt! :o
The other German still left in the draw didn't fare so well though; Kiefer had to retire in his match against Olivier Rochus. :(
So it's
Gasquet-Santoro
Schuettler-Rochus
in the semis.

Gasquet has had a good run but he is so unpredictable that I would not put money on him even wih Hewitt out.
If he wins and gets a good run at Tokyo, he can easily get back on track to the Shangai race!!!

Gasquet took out Santoro 6-0 6-3. Schuettler, after knocking out Hewitt, disappointingly fell 4-6 4-6 to Rochus.

And Richard did it. He was the highest seed and did not falter. Certainly not a great opposition but delivering when everyone expects it is not that easy.
Now he is fully back in the Shangai race. :ok:

Gasquet takes the title 6-3 6-4 against Olivier Rochus.
Allez Richard!
As the ATP website notes, he has now won titles on all four surfaces. He has moved from 16th to 14th in the race --- what's more important, he is now less than thirty points behind current No. 8 Blake. A good run at one of the MS events would probably enable him to qualify for Shanghai ... but, as always with Gasquet, let's wait and see.

Agreed! :ok:
Having Gasquet in the mix at Shanghai would definitely spice the contest up even more this year, as he is a really dangerous player on his day.
But let's not have Gasquet and Djokovic both in Roger's half, please ... :)
