ne1 know what her plans are? is she recovering frm her foot injury and then planning on playing again or is she going to retire. i havnt heard any news about her for ages.

I think she is on the verge of retiring. Her singles ranking is now ranked out of the top 1000 which is depressing for an 04 slam champ.

She had surgery on her left foot in January and it seems playing on it made it swell up again. She says she still loves tennis but she says that she wouldn't be happy just being a top 80 player, so would have to be able to compete at top 10/top 5 level in order to continue so...whilst she was away she was comentating and doing sports TV shows (like compatriot Krasnoroutskaya).
