SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 05:27 PM (GMT)

Choka - 131*
Serena - 39*
Al 17*
Have a special USO lager, and get in quick before Al drinks the lot
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
Ok, the main contestants. Most of us predicted every day, but if you missed up to 2 rounds I have included you in the league. In brackets the number of times you used the 2-0/3-0 system.
In 15th place, it's the bad boy of tennis himself, more temperamental than Marrat, more mouthy than Mac, and nastier than Nastase. He missed a couple of rounds not due to injury but sheer laziness so next time he better get his finger out. :D
Give it up for Dark Necrofear, 311 points (4)
Your prize:
A lovely tennis realted souvenir of New York, finest quality home made they are too.

Sorry I'm late, split ketchup down my awards gown! ;)
  for all those announced so far!
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
14th - we have the lowest finish here for a player who predicted in every round. I know that this person competed hard for the 'turkey" spot so they won't be too dissappointed with the result. :D This is our veteran of the tournamanet, who played some remarkable matches at Wimby with that old wooden raquet, volleys like no one else with such touch and flair. Experience wasn't enough this time, but I think she'll be back to see off those youngsters after a break I'm sure, if sh estays off the whisky :D
Give it up for the wonderful Scolios - 363 points (1)
Your prize
Your date is with the one on the right this time :D
http://www.smh.com.au/ffxImage/urlpicture_...derer_cow,0.jpgand of course you'll be wanting one of these :D

Hey Miss SF :D This could take same time esp as I'm trying to clear up the kitchen at the same time :D
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
In 13th place and unlucky for some, it's a player who was tipped to be th enew King of Hard but it all ended up flaccid at Flushing for him. :D He may have spent too much time chasing Roddick, or it may be the Bombay Sapphire he drank between pionts that caused this pititful performance ! :D So what next for him? Retirement I reckon roflmao
Will the former King fo Clay be more than a one slam wonder? We'll see but I don't think those pink shoes scored him any points fashion wise. :D
Give it up for Liam Valid 368 points (2 I think? )

I lovely vintage collector's item with an American twist :D
http://static.flickr.com/135/323199790_3cec259f7d.jpgOk then as it's you :D
http://www.andaluzdistribuidora.com.br/ima...y%20Saphire.jpgThere will now be a commercial break :D
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 07:15 PM (GMT)
12th place - a youngster who got off to a flying start but didn't quite have the stamina to take the deciding set, his flair and variety left the big guns bemused a bit like Roddick was against Murray at Wimby last year. It's another tough young Scot with attitude who's been a credit to the tournie, although he did miss the finals but the poro lad was injured.
Give ti up for Scotsguy - 387 points (4)
Your prize - you get to play with your fave in the Davis cup once Tim has gone :D

SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
In 11th place, we have a woman who turned up every day of the tourny without fail, come good days or bad. She won some gripping matches in the women's but like her idol, despite that superb two handed backhand and explosive firepower, she couldn't quite make an impression this year. She was understandably gutted as Marat could not partner her in the doubles this year, but he did help her with her warm ups and supplied physio after matches - lucky cow! :D
Give it up for Dinky Jo - 392 points.
As Jo's not had the best of tournies I think I know what she needs to cheer her up - a couple of Russian specials so here's some vodka and blinis ;)
http://www.tennis.com/uploadedImages/Edito...fin_article.jpgWow get a load of that! Tasty eh?
http://rebuildingyear.files.wordpress.com/...unov_kisser.jpgWouldn't say no myself! :D
Enjoy Jo.
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 07:41 PM (GMT)
1Oth Place - this player snook into 10th winning the close fought tiebreak with Jo. Not quite the performance they gave at Wimby, and considering their excellent hardcourt season so far, a tad dissppointing. Some great women's matches though but like Hingis, despite having touch and flair and great courtcraft, came unstuck with the power of the young guns. A purist, never uses the percentage play system, and keen to get on court every day. Still, the defending champ cannot win every time and will be back I am sure, looking to end the season as No 1 :D
Give it up for Viva 392 points
Your prize, and it's a nice one as it's you and you are world No1 one and I dare not piss you off, is a holiday with this lovely lady
http://www.tennisserver.com/images/Mercant...le-2005-298.jpghowever, due to tight budgets the holiday is here
http://www.daphnescaravans.com/lr-web-caravan.jpg roflmao I'm sure she won't mind. She can go without 5 star room service just the once. ;) .
vivahate - September 11, 2007 07:46 PM (GMT)
wow, thanks SB :P
not my best effort of the slams this year, especially on the back of a fine run on the hardcourts this summer
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
9th place - such a promising prospect and favourite with the bookies, coming into this on the back of a brilliant Wimby win, her glory could not be repeated here but she'll be back to win next year - she has to because she's spent all her Wimbledon winnings on fast sportscar, and spent too much time in it judging by her perfromance. :D
Give it up for Fah - 394 points (1)
I'm giving you this car to add to your collection.
http://www.spaceboy.co.uk/general/car.jpgI reckon it will put you off driving and get you back on the practice courts. roflmao OK, Ok I throw in a Ferrari too :D

I know, you were the hot favourite I thought.
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
8th place - the darling of Centre Court did not quite have the same impact as on the grass, but delighted the crowd with her Henmanesque drop shots and superb angles. Seome excllent men's results, but I fear she went off the boil just a tad when she volunteered to become James Blake's phsyio. She spent a lot of time in the locker room rubbing him down after matches, :D but maybe she wore him out cos he did not make the final stages and looked rather knackered in his last match. ;)
Give it up for Pebs - 396 points (3)
Her prize is to be appointed as personal physio, specialising in after match care, to this handsome young man:
http://www.tennisserver.com/lines/images/l...08_09/Blake.jpgAnd she need tools of the trade, so here are some including tingly creams for those muscle rubs, but be careful where you spray the spray
:D
http://www.mentholatum.co.uk/pain/deep_heat.aspEnjoy :D
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 08:19 PM (GMT)
7th place - watch out for this youngster, he's got the fearlessness of Szavay and the skill of Henin. He's got talent and the power, but rather like Nadal, burnt himself out and injuries (or his school ;) ) cost him dearly. He missed at least 2 days and yet thrashed some of our regular and highly experinced competitors. He's sure to be a winner one day. :)
Give it up for teenage circuit sensation Felix - 399 points (4)

Your prize which I am sure you'll love is a nice day out with this lovely lady :D
http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/photo?slug=71c...is_uso1&prov=ap
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
6th place - a real contender for the title but he always goes for winners and they don't always pay off. A little less time playing mixed doubles with Miss Hingis and a few less broken racquets and code violations might have helped his cause, but he did extremely well and can only get stronger in the coming years so watch out for him and duck when he throws a tantrum :D
Give it up for teenager with attitude Oblivion - 400 points (2)

Your prize - as Mis Hingis is taken I thought you'd enjoy a few tennis lessons from a player who knows her very well
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/14082007/58/...st-round-1.htmlHe'll meet you on court in an hour. :D
trisco - September 11, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)

trisco - September 11, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
Ooo I just remebered I found something that may be good for us to do regarding predictions..
I'll find it now
trisco - September 11, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
Here we go, these guys seem to run a prediction comp Battle Of The Boards type thing, reckon we should sign up for the next one. :D

SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
In 5th place, we have a creditable performance form this big serving giant. He started low but pulled out all the stops on those smash volleys to claw his way back up, but his eye was on Maria rather a lot which may have caused some distraction. MInd you, by the looks of things she had her eye Djoko given her performance. :D He was rather good in the doubles too. Sadly the Sam Slam wasn't on but
Give it up for Sam - 406 points (4)
Your prize - this player agreed to meet you on court but she does nto look to happy about it so be careful roflmao

SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
SEMI FINALISTS
Our first is a 'dragon" from the valleys, who's just as at home on a hard court in New York and he is on the green, green grass of home. :D HIs forehand is fearce and he's a monster on the baseline, and a great doubles player to boot.. He charmed the ladies throwing daffodils in the crowd and had he turned up for the finals he just might have got RU but you know what these youngsters are like, too much time partying with Kirilenko and playing on myspace. :D
Give it up for Welshboy with 407 points (4) - 4th place!
Your prize - you will play all four GS Mixed Doubles Next year with this player; I think you'll like her ;)
http://www.mariakirilenko.com/img/gal/gal02/07.jpgAwww, how cute :D
scolios - September 11, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
Sorry I'm late, SB - there was a bloody cow on the doorstep and when I'd got rid of that I was attacked by a turkey!
SuperBRAT - September 11, 2007 09:29 PM (GMT)
SEMI FINALISTS
3rd place - this newcomer cost the bookies some dosh, hustling her way into the tournie with a string of miserable losess, only to hit her form from day where she lead with Wise. A bit of a Diva, like Serena she loves the big stage :D A newcomer to the circuit and tipped for big things, she's the complete package and not just a power hitter but a doubles specialist too. Such committment and application too, a dazzling array of shots and check out those volleys, this girl has class :D
Give it up for the one and only
Miss SospanFach - 408 points
You prize - you get to chose your doubles partner for next year's GSs. Will it be
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/graphics/...04/utmurray.jpgor

http://sports.webshots.com/photo/1112497613053338166SymmHqThey are all available and queueing up :D In fact if you pick one and they are shite you can take another. I might go foe Max Mirnyi myself fi I had a chance roflmao
