So who do you reckon will make the final eight. I don't know if Davydenko or Roddick have officially clinched it yet, but they're as good as in. It gets a lot tighter after that, though. Only 42 pts separating No. 7 from No. 15 . . .

I'm hoping Blake will make it again. If I had to pick another that I'd like to see make it, I think it would be Baghdatis. He's not been in the best for, but if he could sneak a Masters Series title, he'd be right back in the mix.

I wouldn't argue if the current top 8 were to qualify --- I'd also like to see Blake make it, as well as Tommy Haas. And Ferrer with his recent good runs also deserves to make the mix.

Of the other guys, I wouldn't mind if Gonzo, Berdych or Youzhny made it, but it's looking a bit doubtful. I think Baghdatis is a bit too far down the list by now, although I also would have liked to see him there.

You've gotta say - pretty impressive performance from Moya this year  He could quite conceivably qualify for Shanghai.....

I think any of those guys in the Top 20 have a good shot, if they manage have a run of good form in the remaining Masters events. And if Fed and/or Nadal skip out on any of those events, it gives more chances for those guys down the list to pick up points.

I would love Baggy to make it,but like one of my other favourite players from a few years ago Grosjean,he is far too streaky to have a say.

I think he's destined to be a very good player, someone who may rain on the parade with some high profile wins, but unable to win a slam.

Obviously, I would like Gasquet to make it. In a round robin situation he might play more relaxed and be deadly. He is the kind of player that could trouble anybody in the top 8 so his presence there could be very interesting. Ferrer is a fighter but I cannot see who he could beat in the top 8.

Bagdhatis is a great player but has too many unexpected losses. Hewitt could also be a good addition to the top 8. Gonzo, Lubo same as Ferrer in my view, out of the league really.

Apparently the Bryans have now clinched the year-end number one in the doubles. Who would've thought that they would clinch it before Roger this year?

(That's assuming Roger *is* going to clinch it  )
