Well, what a day it has been so far, so many shocks!

A fine win for Na Li over Sveta. Commiserations to Sveta, but am a fan of Na Li, and am glad to see her making her mark. :yahoo:

And Verdasco!! I think that he was underrated as a grass court player, and has been playing well on the green stuff recently. Didn't catch the match though.. Anyone catch it? Verdict??

Did catch Martina v Ai.. am disappointed, but Ai did play really well. It seemed that the game was gone from Martina in such a short period of time at the end. You could see how she really couldn't believe what had happened to her.

Nice to see Hantuchova progressing too. Hope she gives JHH as good a match as Myskina did at Eastbourne :)

And disappointed to see James Blake depart the tournament too. Shame! After Queen's I thought that he would definitely make the second week.

Glad to see Djokovic progressing too.. Anyone who saw his exploits in the Davis Cup and at RG will know that he can play a bit..

And Warwinka v Ancic could be a bruising encounter.. on at the mo..

Finally, there is so much going on today that it confounds me to see that the beeb board is still plagued by anti-Federer, anti-Murray, anti-whoever threads. Not what I expected during SW19 at all.

Anyway.. any other thoughts on the day's play? I'm sure that I've missed a few others of interest :)

Anyone watching Haas v Berdych, or Ancic v Wawrinka?? I keep flicking between the two, both are compelling viewing!!

Ah. Berdych prevails.. lots of drama.. Darn!! Poor Tommy.. :cry:
