Title: Grosjeanites Unite!(Wimby '06 cheering thread).

GrosjeantheGreat - June 29, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
Greetingz monsewerz and madamz!

Ze time hath come. Ze moment of truth iz upon us.
Ze great one doth mount hiz trusty steed, unsheath
hiz racket of doom, and gallop to conquer all and
sundry- for hiz opponentz nothing but doom!

Ah, already ze great one hath disposed of twin
pretenderz; Simon and Delgado to ze sword
hath perished. Their headz are stuffed and
deck mine cabin wallz; mementoez of tennise
master classes.

Ay, ze Grosjean hath trod upon their wretched
soulz; heed their pleas for mercy; their pathetic
groveling to ze godly great one:

Interviewer: Gilles, how did it feel to play Grosjean the Great?

Gilles Simon: It was a dream. It was a dream fulfilled. He was
my childhood hero. My idol. My icon. To even be near him is
an honour, yet an honour that I feel I don't really deserve.

Interviewer: He beat you easily...

Gilles Simon: Yes. I expected defeat. Who doesn't when playing
the greatest tennis player of all time? I only hope that my presence
didn't bother him too much. I hope, that someday, he'll deem me
worthy of another lesson in the fine art of tennis.

Interviewer: Jamie Delgado, how did it feel to be near his blessed grace?

Jamie Delgado: G...G...G...G... Grosjean the Great!

*Shakes uncontrollably*

Interviewer: Jamie?

Gilles Simon: Leave him. He is still in a state of shock at Grosjean the
Great's level of greatness.

Interviewer: I understand. Where do you go from here Gilles?

Gille Simon: Back to my Grosjean the Great shrine. I have one of his
teeth that I managed to prise from his mouth while he was sleeping. I
think I'll add that to my extensive collection of Grosjean the Great memorabilia.

Interviewer: Did you break into his house at night when he was asleep?

Gilles Simon: No, he beat me in his sleep. I just grabbed one at the change of ends.

Interviewer: I see.

Jamie Delgado grabz ze interviewerz leg.

Jame Delgado: Did you see the g,,,g...g...g.g.g great one?

Gilles Simon: Jamie, stop that. Come on, we have to go back to the
shrine and place this tooth among our treasured possessions. Then
it's to the tattoo parlor to get a tattoo of Grosjean the Great etched
upon our buttocks. Just think, we'll be the envy of the entire world!

Fear not Grosjeanitez!

Yesterday, though a tragedy occurred, ne'er to be forgotten,
however one may try to erase ze horrorz and ze terror,
and though 'twill linger in ze memory long, an imperfection
in ze otherwise melodious song, zat iz ze great one'z life
and passion, did pass unjustifiably so:

Tozzed I ze ball into ze humid air. Alas ze Sun'z mercilezz
glare, corrupted ze great one'z vision.

"Nay", I voiced in great dismay,"ze Sun doth shine and cause
affray!" Then spake ze Umpire unto me, "Carry on, thou silly Frenchy!"

"Nay!" I cried, "Justice be done! Ze Grosjean can't see for ze setting
Sun!" Said ze official unto me," Thou shalt play, thou silly Frenchy!"

"Nay!" once more, thrice denied, desperate and aghast ze great
one cried! Thus spoke Baghdatiz unto me, "Play, play, thou silly
Frenchy!"

Thus resigned, with anger smote, ze ball undefined and mine
chance remote, ze great one scampered here and there, but
alas did lose to ze Sun'z cruel glare!

Yes shame for Grosjean, I though he had a good chance. Never mind, he'll be back. :D :D
