Title: Doubles Live Scoring

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
Only an hour into Friday's play and it looks like there's a major upset on the cards- Knowles and Nestor are down a set and a break to Allegro/Vliegen! Not a great last tournament if they do lose!

Although great for Stretch and Booty if they manage to negotiate their match today!

Dinky Jo - August 31, 2007 04:20 PM (GMT)
not that i want to say "i told you so" (but i will anyway :P )

but....i didn't think knowles/nestor had an easy draw.......

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 04:22 PM (GMT)
Lol, maybe I've cursed it- they're up a break in the second now!

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 04:27 PM (GMT)
On the women's side French Open champions Molik and Santangelo have made easy work of it, winning 6-3 6-1 against Marrero and Sfar.

mightyjeditribble - August 31, 2007 04:32 PM (GMT)
Knownest serving for the second set.

Lol, Knownest, I like it!

I think I prefer Nestles

The best one is Henwitt for when they played dubs together....

Also Hingis/Hantuchova are a double break up on Yan and Zi.

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 04:50 PM (GMT)
Knowles/Nestor/ Knownest/ Nestles are up a break in the third!

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
make that a double break.

vivahate - August 31, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
martina and dani dished out a bagel to take the first set :yahoo:

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
Nestles ease through the third set winning 6-1 to set up a potential clash with Booray.

Impressive perfomance!

Scotsguy - August 31, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
Yanzi are 3-0 up in the 2nd set though.

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
I know Raymond/Stosur are Raysur so what do we call Black/ Huber? Bluber?

Dani/Martina lose the second set.

Or Blabber ... Huck .. Huback ...

the possibilities are endless ..

Scotsguy - August 31, 2007 05:37 PM (GMT)
Another good one is the Bondarenko sisters....Bonbon...

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 05:40 PM (GMT)
Lee and Parrott take the first set from Hanley and Ullyett.

vivahate - August 31, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
martina and dani are through 6-0 3-6 6-4 :) :) :)

A good win there which sets up a potential clash with the #6 seeds Peshcke/Stubbs ( if the latter win their 2nd match).

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 06:25 PM (GMT)
Bluber not getting it all their way, they drop the second set in a tiebreak.

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 06:37 PM (GMT)
Huber gets broken in the first game of the third set!

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
WOW! Bluber are down two breaks in the third set...looks like they're on the way out! It's not often that Cara Black doesn't get into the second week of a slam!(She's already out of the mixed).

Scotsguy - August 31, 2007 07:01 PM (GMT)
Oh well it just means that Huber will have more energy to win with Jamie ;)

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
So, Camerin and Dulko two points away from victory for the biggest upset of the tournament, in all events, so far!

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
And they serve it out in style. 1-6 7-6 6-2

Srebotnik and Sugiyama must be the faves now in that top half!

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
Could we be in for another upset on the women's side? Srebotnik and Sugiyama are down a set against Krajicek and Radwanska.

Raysur will be watching this with interest.

Russiafan - August 31, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
:yikes:

Black/Huber lost???

Raymond and Stosur must be favourites for the title now.

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
Yep, I'd imagine so but I wouldn't discount Sugi and Srebotnik plus Stosur and Raymond are lacking match practice.

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 08:38 PM (GMT)
Srebotnik and Sugi regain their composure and take the second set 6-0 and have a break point in the first game of the third set.

That's true. Dani/Martina also look like a good dark horse pairing.....also not counting out Molik/Santangelo....I guess it's still a wide open event :)

Scotsguy - August 31, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
It's a lot more wide open than it was before Bluber lost ;)

MissSospanFach - August 31, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)
#3 seeds are now serving for the match.

Dinky Jo - August 31, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT)
Butorac/Murray have just started their match.....

Scotsguy - August 31, 2007 11:33 PM (GMT)
Booray are serving at 4-5 having been a break down.

Wise_Analyst - August 31, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
Overrated Murray and Butorac partnership on their way out. 7-5, 4-1 down to Delic and Gimelstob.

Heninator - September 1, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
And they're outta there

MissSospanFach - September 1, 2007 01:50 PM (GMT)
Can't say it wasn't expected!
