Just watching the Ana match - she's up against a dangerous opponent in Rezai, who reached the fourth round here last year.

She dropped her first serve in the opening game and despite having break points in the next game, didn't manage to convert them. Please don't make me suffer too much Ana... :pray:

Dushevina got off to a quick start against Bychkova, winning the opening 3 games and Sugiyama is 5-2 down in the first set against Makarova. Bammer is also a break up on Shaughnessy.

Ana rattles off 5 games in a row from 3-1 down to take the first set 6-3. :clap:

Bammer took the first set off Shaughnessy 6-4.

Dushevina took her first set 6-3 against Bychkova.

Sugiyama lost the first set to Makarova but is a break up in the second.

After a saky start Ana wins 11 of the last 12 games to see of Rezai.

Bammr is at 3-3 in the second against Shaughnessy

Dushevina is leading 2-1 in the second set against Bychkova, on serve

Sugiyama wins set 2 against Makarova 6-4.

And Ana goes through comfortably enough in the end, 6-3, 6-1. :wub: Shaky start, but from 3-1 down in the first, she only lost one more game against a potentially tricky opponent. :clap:

Sugiyama has evened things up against Makarova, taking the second set 6-4.

Bammer and Shaughnessy are still on serve in the second set at 3-3. as are Dushevina and Bychkova at 2-1.

Dusehvina wins 6-4 6-3, it's great to see her winning these matches and although i doubt she can beat Ivanovic she may turn out to cause a few problems.

Had a great start, executing so well with the forehand and lovely compact footwork. Got a little bit patchy on serve, a few doubles and also Olaru got a bit more loose and hit some lovely winners. Still venus tightening the reins at the right time.

Yeah, i dont think it's that crucial for venus to always go for the ace. I actually prefer the big serve into the body and the slice serve outwide. Still aces are good to watch, especially when Venus is booming them down :bow:

Her movement looks so good though, Olaru probably would've hit a lot more winners against anyone else. Just the classiness of Venus's movement.

I agree though SG, Olary is one to watch.Lovely technique on that backhand side :ok:
