Title: Patty Schnyder
LDF - June 27, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
Gosh, she really is awful on grass roflmao
Serra Zanetti is about to serve for the match at 6-2 5-4. But the most astonishing thing is her average serve speed.
First serve: 65 MPH
Second serve: 64 MPH
 roflmao

The only highlight for Schynder on grass was reaching the 3rd round in 2001, and then only won 5 games against Davenport! roflmao
Yes LDF, Patty is awful on grass, i've seen pit-buls with more skills on a grass-court than her roflmao

Yeh, unfortunately school is in the way at the moment...plus I had tennis practice this afternoon...
I see Kim won 7-5 6-3 - I would ask how she played, but you're very biased ;) roflmao

Me biased about Kim? roflmao How dare you! ;)
She played pretty well actually, moved well around the court and served pretty decently. I always feel clijster's serve is succeptible to breaking down on grass, which her slightly exagerated arm-technique on the serve, but she served much better than Vera today, even though i think zvonareva has a nice smooth action on the serve. Clijsters hit her forehand well today also, really wrapping that raquet around the ball, and hitting some monstrous forehands down the line. No sign of that potentially fatal technique, but hey its only the first round ;) roflmao

I see Kirilenko is out...

I know LDF, to Shinobu Asagoe of all people, probably the most out of form player she could hope to meet in the first round. Bad day i suppose for the Russian
That was an intresting result also, the battle of the Eastern European teens, Radwanska beating Azarenka in straights as well. I really like the look of Radwanska, she was stunning in Warsaw earlier in the year. Such clean hitting, particulary off the forehand.
The most brutal display i saw today was Sprem's hammering of Keothavong, the British number 1 6-0 6-2  Talk about the state of British tennis.........even if sprem probably played her best match of the year.

Well, the winners-to-unforced errors differential was pretty much the same for both players. The key stat is that Maria only won 46% of points on her first serve; Shinobu won 71%...
I'm surprised Karolina won so comfortably, considering how erratic she is...
Schnyder's a break up in the final set now.
I can't believe Serra Zanetti's fastest serve is 70 MPH. roflmao
dl04 - June 27, 2006 07:18 PM (GMT)
Karolina did play well, but Anne's game is just so average off the ground. Anne's best groundstroke shots basically only come off short balls, and her normal rallying strokes just sat up in Karolina's hitting zone. Karolina has such great timing at times, almost Seles-esque, but i can still see her ' technique ' breaking down against more stellar competition.
Serra Zanetti's serve is hillarious! roflmao Its almost like when Dementieva served a 105kph serve at RG one year roflmao
LDF - June 27, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)
105 KPH is still faster than Zanetti's average service speed roflmao

Venus plays tomorrow, cannot wait! :D
