he number of films I turn off cos they have thespians I can't stad in them is quite high! Then again Hollywood does churn out the same old actors in the same old films :rolleyes:

Who annoys you, ie their becuase their acting is dire or you just can't stand them?

Here's some of mine

Richard Gere - a piece of wood has more expression, and he ruined the Mothman Prophecies by being unable to appear scared! roflmao Not a great classic actor, seems to be cast on looks (I don't see that either) as most are but Pacino and De Niro are good looking and they can act!

Will Smith - not saying he can't act, he just annoys me - he's such a cocky arrogant fellow and will probably be president of the USA one day. :rolleyes:

Sean Connery - OK so he played a good James Bond, but he is hardly the Marlon Brando of his generation and that embarrassing Russain spoken with a Scottish accent in the Hunt for Red October did it for me. Comedy, but he's not supposed to be funny! :D

Julia Roberts - overrated (although she was good in Erren Brokovich) an doften miscast (ege Mary Reilly). Highly annoying gormless expression, and anythign with her and Gere together - pulease! roflmao

Michelle Pfeiffer - can't stand the woman, come accross as such a wimp. And that movie where she was a teacher in a rough urban black school (video ofr Collio's gangsters paradise) was just dire! Yeah like she could command their attention! :D

Jennifer Anniston - can't be doing with that mousey face, that wholesome girl she plays in rom coms, and for a comedy actress she is nto funny. And the silly woman blew it with Brad Pitt, what more can I say? roflmao

Tom Cruise - bloody scientologist, ranting about psychiatry...... the man's a raving moron, and i refuse to see his films on the basis.....

Bruce Willis- If it's not an action film, he's as much use as a sausage at a Bar Mitzvah roflmao Even in the action films he's as wooden as hell!

Orlando Bloom- Stale beyond belief in POC trilogy. His vacancy worked in LOTR, but away from the fantasy he's just well...... crap roflmao

Samuel L Jackson- Normally i'm a fan, but has become a huge self-parody of late( eg Snakes on a Plane) :rolleyes:

Angelina Jolie- Hugely overated( her only decent film was Girl interupted), and her Tomb Raider films were scrapong the barrel big-time. Only in people's favour due to the Brad pitt association.

Rachel Weiz- Plays the same part in every goddamn film- Mousy, british woman who is always polite and well-spoken- :blah:

oh, i saw a trailer at the weekend for some film with Ricky Gervais in it. Ricky Gervais might be a good comedian, but an actor - he is not! He's always Ricky-frickin-Gervais. they should just put in the credits "Ricky Gervis as himself dressed in funny clothes"

Now, sometimes it's ok if an actor just plays themselves - if they're an interesting person it works. But Ricky Gervais is just slightly annoying in my opinion...... :unsure:

Ricky is good at what he does, but like most comedy, it is best kept to sitcoms and sketches, not 2 hour films. I tend to avoid comedy films as two hours of the same joke is too much for me. :)
