trisco - July 11, 2007 10:23 AM (GMT)
China :D Hopefully..
Great to escape this British "Summer" we are having

SG, could you do me a favour please? Or anyone around? Can someone pop onto the BBC news website news.bbc.co.uk then click the little button where it states international version, then post me the link here?

The tards at work have decided to bar the news website. Makes me so *bleep*ing angry, archaic internet filtering bullshit.

One month summer camp in Peterhouse college in Cambridge - it's really fun, and although we've got to take classes ( I take math as a major and philosophy as a minor), they're pretty interesting, especially philosophy. We're having regular guest speakers, including Michael Portillo last night and the poete laureate Andrew Motion this afternoon. The deans aren't very happy with me though, because I failed to sign in at night once, and are threatening to send me home :o The people in my staircase are really nice guys, we often play cards at night, we always have a good laugh. We went punting yesterday too, it was OK, although had we been one minute late, we would have been forced to pay extra charges :bs:

And the food is surprisingly good too...It feels so funny to eat breakfast and dinner in a 13th century hall...This seriously is a lifetime experience...

As for my holidays, I'm all over the place....next Monday I'm off to the South of France to stay with a friend from school.....then I come back home for a day before flying with my family out to stay with friends in Kenya and from Kenya we fly to the Mediterranean (somewhere near it anyway) and are going on my uncle's yacht for a week and I have two friends joining me for that as well....

The best thing is I (ie.my family) don't have to pay for any accommodation, tis the way forward :)

trisco: try going through http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html to get to some websites that are blocked, it might work :D

I planned nothing cos I was hoping to be lving in the English holiday resort of Torquay in my new home by August. It fell through though, I'm hunting again but we dare not waste annual leave as nto much left and we need it to and move as it's a distance move. We used up nearly 3 weeks in April and May in that lovely holdiay flat with the balcony and panaoramic sea and harbour view. What a bloody waste of money and time that was! roflmao I'n dying for a holiday but looks like it will be a property hunting one again.

Had hoped to go to Holland as never been and George was brought up there so wanted to show me some of the nicer places, maybe we can do that once we move. We want to go over to Germany (George's brother lives near Dresden) but as he's been a right arsder with the family lately I'm giving that one a miss for now.

Yes, it did remind me to what you talked about to me ages ago, about Boris Becker coming to your school...But it being cancelled

Gosh, we're having some kind of inter-class competition next week, and I'm in the drag race :yikes: We went to London yesterday, and they let us hang around in Coventry garden for 4 hours...All I really did was listen to the musicians, they were really funny...and good :D

TBH, if life were like this, then I wouldn't need the internet, and maybe not even the TV. It's really easy to make friends with American people, they're extremely social, I can hang around with some girls like for 6 hours (like I did yesterday).

I am off to Fuerteventura on 1st September - 5 weeks and counting!!

felixsanchez - July 27, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
I am just back from 2 weeks in Ibiza, it was ok!

Apart from spending a day in a foreign hospital with idiot staff, OH and having my head of year staying at the same resort and her husband is my physics teacher.....so that was fun

But i got a good tan B)

I'm not too bad thanks SB :)

Been playing in the leicestershire county champs today - lost in the handicap tournament (albeit with a big handicap against) 4-6 11-9 4-6 so a bit tired (no tie-breaks, circa wimbledon pre1970's

I was in Lake Garda a couple of weeks ago. It's unbelievabley hot over there at the moment but it's a beautiful area of Italy. I'm sure you'll have a great time :ok:

I was in Lake Garda as well a couple of weeks ago, we were staying in Venice but went there for the day. It was lovely there, there's been a heatwave in Italy for the last few weeks so it was naturally very hot!

Anyway it was lovely to get away to Italy for a few weeks and escape the bad weather, can't believe how quickly the summer is going though :o
