Title: Wimbledon Comp

OK. I'm thinking of running a Wimbledon prediction competition. Here's my thought. Once the full draw is out, you predict your eight quarterfinalists. You earn the rankings points for whatever round your picks make it to. Once the QFs are set, we'll start over from the actual remaining players, and you predict how it goes from there. We can have a winner for the mens the womens and an overall winner.

What do you think? Any suggestions for tweaks to the format will be considered.

Sounds like fun Nick. but just realised I cant join in as I am off work 6/7 July -quarter finals onwards, and no access to a computer except at work. Great idea though.

Alright then, we'll go with it. Once the official draw is out, make your picks. I'll ask you to send me your picks via PM (that way you're not influenced too much by looking at what everyone else's picks are). Before the tourney starts, I publish all the entrants and their selections, though.

- Pick one player from each 1/8 of the draw to be your projected quarterfinalists.
- You will earn points equivalent to the ranking points for the round each player reaches.
- At the QF stage, I'll have everyone predict again based on the actual quarterfinalists.
- At that point, you will predict the semifinalists, finalist and champion.
- You can submit entries for either the mens or womens draws or both.
- I'm still thinking about what to use as a tiebreaker, in case we end up with a tie.
- The winners with get honour and glory, and maybe some kind of prize, but I'm not sure about that.

As long as I receive your picks before the first match starts, you're in, but preferably the day before.
