Title: Fed has a bye to the quarters :o(

In case any of you havnt seen the news, Tommy has pulled out of his 4th round match due to a stomach injury. Therefore Fed has a free ride to the quarters. I am gutted, would have loved to see Tommy on centre court :(

It's a shame WA.. :(
I am wondering if he actually came back from his shoulder injury a little too early? He is a very fierce competitor and maybe pushed himself a little too far in this instance maybe?
btw here's an extract from an article that I read about him earlier today:
Normally speaking, one wouldn't see Tommy Haas as too much of an obstacle to Roger Federer and his dream of a fifth consecutive Wimbledon title. However, the German has proved an obstinate foe to the Swiss in both of their meetings at grand slam level, taking the world No 1 to five sets on each occasion, at the Australian Opens of 2002 and 2006, and actually beating him five years ago.
Sadly for the unlucky Haas, his whole career seems to have been plagued by injury - and not just to himself; four years ago his parents were involved in a serious car accident. As an example of his misfortune, in successive years in 1995 and 1996 he broke both ankles and two years ago at Wimbledon had to pull out of the Championships without even striking a ball in anger or otherwise after stepping on one during his warm-up with the Serb Janko Tipsarevic. That ankle sprain kept him out for a month.
Even this year, after an unusually long injury-free run, he hurt his shoulder and had to miss the French Open. But he has quickly shaken off six weeks' rust here and scored an impressive win in four sets in the last round against the Russian Dmitri Tursunov, who had reached the semi-finals of the Artois Championships a fortnight ago. He knows he has nothing to lose against Federer.

Yes he is a very unlucky guy :( No one thought he would be ready after the shoulder injury so I was really pleased to see him doing so well. It's really tough being a Haas fan sometimes, I wish him all the best for his recovery though.

I read elsewhere that Haas had colitis. Not sure if that's true, but if it is, it won't be an injury - it's inflammation of the colon.
Shame that there will be no Haas vs. Fed match up, but if it is colitis, better than being injured, I guess? No expert, so this is pure speculation on my part!
