barrystar - June 28, 2007 11:09 AM (GMT)
Phew - Hantuchova's dress is VERY short indeed.

T01 - June 28, 2007 12:31 PM (GMT)
Safarova completes the 3rd round line upin th etop half.. Eleni Danilidou could not defeat her!!! At least Lucie is in the other half of Amelie . phew!

I was hoping for Danilidou win there..

Ah well

GS2 - June 28, 2007 12:40 PM (GMT)
Top half 3rd round draw complete - some decent looking matches to be played.

Henin v Vesnina
Bondarenko v Schnyder
Hantuchova v Srebotnik
Sequera v S Williams
Jankovic v Safarova
Bartoli v Peer
Hingis v Granville
Krajicek v Chakvetadze

Hard to pick a winner from a few of those especially Bartoli v Peer.

The decided matches in the bottom half all look good as well

Ivanovic v Rezai
Vaidisova v Azarenka
Dementieva v Paszek.

GS2 - June 28, 2007 12:59 PM (GMT)
Venus doing better today. Leading 5-2.

There are only two players I would pick as definate winners out of that line up.. Henin and Jankovic, more than likely Serena too and very possibly Hingis

Vesina should avoid the breadstick and bagel treatment from Justine, she certainly put up a decent fight at the FO. Meanwhile I think Serena will have an easier match than her last round, she beat Sequera 60 76 at the FO, I think she might have lit a little easier on grass. Jankovic I think will win but despite possibly being injured Lucie is no pushover. I see Hingis winning quite easily actually, she's been in great form for the last 3 sets she's played :P

Venus has won the first set 62

vivahate - June 28, 2007 01:14 PM (GMT)
umm...Martina will dispatch granville rather easily, let's say 2 & 4 :ok:

liam_valid - June 28, 2007 01:17 PM (GMT)
I want Safarova to beat Jankovic

SerenaW19 - June 28, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
Some vintage Venus here  She won the first set ni 20 mins :D And is now serving to go up 4-1 in the second!

Queen Justine - June 28, 2007 01:33 PM (GMT)
This is the best match since Memphis final that Venus has played! So that's what 2 out of 15? roflmao

Can she carry it on in the next rounds or is this just like the fabulous match she played in Memphis and then it's all downhill from there roflmao

What ranking is Sromova?

Those legs :o Amazing!

Great play from Venus, let's see if she can keep it up! At least she's smiling today, she certainly wasn't on Tuesday roflmao

SerenaW19 - June 28, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
What a way to finish the match Venus

She is now officially ready to make it to the final is she can steady herself and play like that in a big match :ok:

And on that note I must away to Barcelona. If Ree and Vee are out when I get back in a week I'll be pissed

Bye anyone who's around

Cya Sw19, hope you have a nice trip

Venus was awesome today :D Just pelting Sromova aside. Her serve was just on, consistently putting in 112+ mph serves in. Venus becomes such an intimidating prospect when the first serve becomes that potent. It puts her in a different class than many.

Probably Safina next, so a tough match for Venus. Go Venus! :D :yahoo:

I'm off to watch them obliterate the brits in doubles now..... notice my lack or patriotic nature roflmao
