Title: upset of day 2
Description: any takers?
Flame - June 26, 2007 10:19 AM (GMT)
after yesterdays call i really should probably quit while i'm ahead (sort of).
nonetheless: kuzzy to lose to vakulenko.
vak is sometimes brilliant, most famous for ending kim clijsters career. kuzzy has been in great nick recently but elected not to play at all on grass in the run up to wimby. so i'm guessing she has an issue she's concerned about.

I reckon Kendrick has a good chance against the Number 11 seed Robredo.
Kendrick is another who has flashes of brilliance
MrInvisible - June 26, 2007 10:25 AM (GMT)
Kendrick to beat Robredo...possible, although I think Robredo is generally less prone to early round upsets than a few other players near the top.
How about a biggie - Fish to beat Nadal - probably won't happen but, hey, you never know - Fish did push Federer hard at Wimbledon back in 2003, and at odds of 6/1 I had a little flutter on this match.
Flame - June 26, 2007 10:26 AM (GMT)
good shout. robert has great memories from last year.

| Blake Vs Andreev????? |
Can Andreev perform on grass?
I don't know much of his grass court record..
Although going on both their recent form, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise

Yeah Im not to sure about his grass performances either .
But 9th seed going out to unseeded would looks like a big scalp (to the casual viewer) even if it wasn't that much of a surprise.

More I think about it more likely it seems..

So does everyone think Nadal is safe against Fish then?
Flame - June 26, 2007 11:57 AM (GMT)
at his best fish could get to nadal. but i'm not convinced he is at his best.
baltacha is doing great 5-5 first set.
WimbledonAce - June 26, 2007 02:44 PM (GMT)
Am shocked how easily Blake won. I take it all back :ok:

Really hope so but I'm feeling nervous.....
MrInvisible - June 26, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
Hmm...I'm 'slightly' nervous, but only because I put a cheeky £3 bet on Fish to beat Nadal at odds of 6-1.
I've got a £10 accumulator on Hewitt, Nalbandian, Djokovic, Kiefer and Vliegen to win...and feeling rather nervous about that! Will Kiefer really beat Volandri, and is Vliegen really going to beat Monaco?
WimbledonAce - June 26, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
I hope Kiefer wins, he's another underated player. Shame about the injuries though. Good luck Nic :ok:

i know Pebs, but i needed to celebrate quickly before kuzzy breaks back.
i'm walking of sunshine anyway after the henners heroics earlier. :)

brilliant wasn't it?
i loved tim's interview with sue afterwards where he said something like:
everyone says i should retire but they also say i should make the second week. how does that work?
Flame - June 26, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
kuzzy a set down!! flamey strikes again!

 I missed the interview - he makes a good point though! the poor guy just cant win can he?
personally, I am rooting for the making second week rather than retire argument!

I missed that too! :( And I take back all I said about Tim retiring, would be boring without him!!!
Flame - June 26, 2007 07:51 PM (GMT)
close but no cigar for vak.
WimbledonAce - June 26, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
