Its interesting how many of us like the same players. Common poppers Graf,Seles,Sanchez and Navratilova.

Is it indicative that we like the same style of tennis or is it indicative that we are a bunch grown towards variety of personalities and class rather than media hype of players?

Well I think most people who are fans of womens tennis would tend to be fans of one of Seles, Graf, Navratilova...and of course ASV is a very likeable person so....

Although I do agree they are very classy so are more likely to be drawn to them as well :D

i'm not looking to rekindle the debate, but for me it was not about the injury. the girl was hurt and the girl was in pain. and the girl fought so hard to stay in that match and win it. where the dodgy behavior crept in was with the toilet break (she didn't take). she was already saved by the rain (there was no way she would have won that match if they kept playing) and given a what, 1 or 2 hour break?? you come back on court and ask for a toilet break (at the wrong time no less) and then when given the opportunity to do so, decline.

In some ways I wish it hadn't rained and that Serena had lost the match and had to retire. As by playing on and then playing the match against Justine she can have only aggravated her injuries and now it's keeping her out for the first few weeks of the US HC season :(

Monica Seles: The greatest female player EVER, Steffi seriously benefited from her stabbing.

Serena Williams: Lazy but is a force when she is in full flow. The last time that happened, the WTA had to form a Mafia that consisted of cheats to take her down. Sharapova was the only one who beat Serena hands down fair and square and a few unknowns but we all know she would have had two FO crowns if not for a certain cheat. : :devil:

Venus Williams: The Ladylike Williams, however she can be one hell of a chocker but on grass as Bartoli said, she is the queen.

Arantha Sanchez: The clay fairy, she moved like a angel, I dont understand why she didnt win tons of FO's especially if a certain you-know-who can do it. I guess the choking in the Steffi era was similar to present mens tennis of today.

Davenport: Because she was a mean old Mama.
