No seriously, Venus will do well again, I'll still watch, but it sucks when you have to follow a tournament without any investment...
I like a lot of players, but really it's only Lindsay :(

I am really sad to hear this news, even though it's boosts Maria's chances. Lindsay is such a joy to watch on the grass usually, it compliments her ball-striking ability better than anywhere. It won't quite be the same without her competing. Let's hope she can get over this and bow out in style with a victory at the US Open! :D

Yeah but Dav's on there mainly cos she was gonna be playing this year!
It might make the heart grow fonder I suppose when she's not out there on centre court :(

I think she qualifies as a Wimbledon great, reaching the final 3 times, and winning both the singles and the doubles there...
Anyway, a poll was held and she came second, so I think the people want her up there :D

I think she is a legend, forgive me for saying this but she has won all three of the majors that count (forget the French, scuse me) same as Hingis, etc. She has won Wimbledon and been in three finals, which is the main one.
Venus - US and Wimbledon
Seles - French US and Aus.
Capriati - French and Aus.
Those four are all legends, Davenport has done more than them except Hingis. Therefore legend I reckon! :)

Well I'm one of Lindsay's biggest fans trisco, so I'm happy to see you say that! :D
However, what I meant was that she isn't on a par with Navratilova/Graf, who really are Wimbledon legends, whereas, right now, Venus and Lindsay are, what I would call, Wimbledon greats...
And before you ask dl, yes, Venus is more of a great, and close to legend status ;)
