Title: who would you be like?
liam_valid - June 16, 2007 11:44 AM (GMT)
I think i would be a combination of Agassi and Serena. I would be committed enough to the sport to play challengers and not retire until i really must, and try my best to entertain the crowd like Agassi. But i would also party hard, go to celebrity events and eat junk food (and prob put my foot it in at press conferences!!!) just like Serena :)

Sharapova and Borg for me, I'm incredibly (most likely over) competitive, so Maria is chosen on that but also incredibly focused and quick on court so Borg for that.
As for actual strokes, I'm more of Kournikova...

I remember more than a year ago, you said that you were like Roddick on court, SG, really fired up and all...

I was and it was starting to get to people and I went through a run of about 6 defeates during the autumn after a successful summer, throwing matches away by getting too pumped up or angry so I decided to tone it down and since then I've been incredibly calm, I do grunt a bit though......

I usually never get angry in matches, except on two occasions, once I lost a point and shouted "MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERDE" and the umpire awarded the next point to the other guy...The second time (I was playing in HingisR's school), as I was hitting the ball, I shouted "F***!" and the consequence was the same, even if I had won the point...

fairy nuff, I started off Roddick like and just being pumped up and then it turned into something more Vaidisova like, basically a brat so I just though about it and bascally have been pretty calm since then.....
Never smashed my racket though, I threw it on a number of occassions but mostly into the back net........

I've tried smashing it on several occasions, although a natural reflex always makes me stops before my stroke falls...Just like when I feel like kicking against the wall, that same natural reflex forces me into simply caressing it.

I voted for Navratilova and Nadal. I tend to make a lot of noises from physical extertion like Nadal and Im a whiner in general like Navtrailova roflmao And both are mentally strong players, and tenacity is one of my best qualities.

pity that Baggy isn't on the list, I wouldn't particularly want to be him, but I love his humour on court
:ok:
