Lendl, who was very very unlukcy to omce up against some tough grass court opposition. Then I would have to say Rafter, then possibly Roddick.

Pioline!!!! roflmao roflmao He had one lukcy year to be honest. Great to include him! Henman would not be happy!

Lendl was unlucky not to have won it, but really, despite his game being great for grass, I always felt he wasnt; comfortable on it. I've gone for Rafter on the basis that he was a finalist twice, and when Goran won it could have gone either way - I mean how close was it? Very unlucky Pat was, Sampras out of the way the second time and the title was his until Goran came along. I was torn in that final. And Pat did have an excellent grass court game, I enjoyed the semi between him and Agassi - top qulaity close tennis with the contrasting styles. Wish he hadnt; retired so soon. :(

Roddick - yes unlucky cos Federer came along. Had Fed not emerged I'd have said Andy would have won 1-3 Wimbys.

It wasnt fair to include Henman as he never reached a final. I put Pioline because he was a grass specialist and i supposed Wimbledon was his best shot at a GS title. Funnily enough, it was Lendl who made me take an interest in tennis, and my frusration at him not getting the career slam, and the Seles Graf rivalry starting up that made me lose interest in the ATP. Ive picked Roddick because i think he had a great chance of winning his first final, and im still confident he will win it before he retires

Whoops maybe it should be Rosewall? I don't remember him, but he was 4 times runner up and won all the other slams.

Really? I can't see Roddick winning Wimby unless Fed has a very bad day or is absent form the tournie. Even with that said, he's no longer 'guaranteed' a cakewalk to the final. He'd also have to develop his game more as it is so easy to pulll apart, as in Murray Wimby 2006.

I always felt sorry for Pat. He lost gracefully too, against Goran.

me too, just because I was always desperate for him to win it!

I feel like I've spent my whole time wishing for certain guys to win this and it never coming to fruition

*sigh*

Me too :( I loved Pat Rafter, and wasn't he tasty? :D

Yep Lendl should have won, had he got rid of Roche like Federer did.

Although I was a big fan of Lendl and was disappointed to see him lose 2 finals, I would have to go for Rosewall. 4 times finalist, won 6 slams on grass and spent his best years on the pro tour and couldn't compete at Wimbledon.
