Title: Funny Point

Cilic just served a ball that was clearly out, but there was no call. Henman hit a great return of it to win the point. The commentators confirmed that Cilic could have challenged his own serve, trying to get it called out!!! Im surprised Tim never said anything though

Heh. Yeah, something similar happened in the USO final. Roddick had served what he thought was a fault - even though there was no call - so when Federer's return came he just lazily swung it out of the court for the ball kids to get, presumably. He looked a bit surprised as the point was announced and conferred with the chair as to whether he could actually challenge his own serve. It seemed he could and he did so, wearing a wry grin as amusement rippled through the crowd.

The challenge showed the serve to have been just barely good, and so Roddick lost the point anyhow.

I'd almost forgot all about the challenge system, which has rapidly become commonplace. Have to say I'm glad to have the dodgy mark-checking process of the clay season behind us (will the chair even come down to inspect? will the player indicate the correct mark? will the player and chair agree on the mark? will there even be a clear mark? ugh).
