USA looks much better today than they did against Czech Rep.!! The have had several chances, and yet are a bit lucky to be tied 1-1 at half time, thanks to an own-goal by Italy. Unfortunately, the had a player sent out on what seemed like somewhat of a bogus red card late in the first half. :angry:

I was quite impressed and shocked by Ghana's 2-0 win over the Czechs earlier. :o

This one barely even looked like a foul, much less a red-card offense.

USA were totally robbed tonight Nick, unfortunetly the Italians often get away with a hell of a lot...

USA had started better, and at 1-1 looked to have a great shout. Then the Italian De Rossi got sent off for that DISGUSTING elbow in McBride's face. No doubt a red card, and hopefully a lengthy ban.

Unfortunetly, after that, the referee decided he'd better even it up. He booked Pope for nothing in the first half, then Sent off your guy before half time for a tackle which at worst was a yellow card - I screamed at the TV at that point!

Then Pope gets a second yellow card and consequently a red for a tackle that was worth a yellow card, but he shouldn't have been booked before!

with 9 vs. 10, the USA were heroic, and still the better team. They should have had a penalty for a clear handball, then you had a goal ruled out for offside even though the player offside didn't really cause a distraction of any sort!

CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE AMERICANS! :o
