I particularly like the bit where Borg says he really hopes Fed equals his Wimbledon record because he's 'such a great guy'.Might give the Fed-haters from the old BBC board something to think about ;)

ahh well I am not a Fed fan so to speak, Nadal all the way for me....and was a huge Borg fan and would love him to retain that record for a lot longer. :D Looking forward to seeing Borg at Wimbledon this year...hope they manage to get an interview or get him to chat in the commentary box with Mac and Connors.

It's amusing to see Borg barracking for Federer to match his record of five consecutive Wimbledon titles. He had a bit of a whinge about it when Sampras looked to be en route to doing the same thing in 2001; he even went so far to half-facetiously thank Federer for stopping Sampras in his tracks.

I guess Borg is more accepting of the prospect these days, or else something akin to Stockholm Syndrome towards Federer now. :P

He should be proud that it takes two separate champions to even get close to doing what he did in his heyday (Federer closing in on his fifth straight Wimbledon, and Nadal on his fourth straight RG, both of which Borg accomplished on his own).

Well I'd say better Fed than anyone else though I would have loved Sampras to do it too.
