Title: Poor Tim

The same 1/4 as Hewitt and Roddick. Not so long ago you would expect them to be in the top 4 seeds and not meet each other til the semis, this year only one of them can make the semis :( Nadal is looking good for the final though

Marin Cilic isn't a great 1st round draw either. Youngster with a big serve, nothing to lose, he can be a bit hit and miss though so hopefully if Tim stays solid he can come through that one with his experience.

Nadal for final at Queens? Nah, he'll lose in 2nd round to Thomas Johansson...

Quarter-finals...probably something like...

Johansson v Ljubicic (or Bjorkman)
Djokovic v Karlovic (or Grosjean, or maybe Fish)
Lopez (or Tursunov) v Gonzalez
Hewitt v Roddick

For those who follow the 'minor names', Dusan Vemic gets the chance for revenge over countryman Janko Tipsarevic (the higher ranked Serb beat Vemic in 1st round at Roland Garros, a match I saw - and I think Vemic could be a dangerous player on grass).

if Tim makes it through to have a knockabout with his old nemesis Hewitt I will be pleased - at least I expect him to be knocked out by Hewitt

:moody:

I'm pissed off with his draw, but then he isnt; seeded and he's had a crap year so I guess it is to be expected. He better not get Fed in roudn 2 at Wimby though

Well knowing Safin he will lose to Bogdanovic, I wouldn't call that a cert!

oh SB, that sooo upset me last year, I would hate for that to happen again - what happened to all that fixing they are supposed to do in his favour?

Are they really? Oh great!   I shall look forward to that. It will be interesting, and I'd love to see them win. :D I'm not sure hwo it will work though, I mean they have different styles and are therefore on papaer a more complete team that some, yalmost a complete game between the pair of them, but doubles isn't simply about sticking two good sigles players together. I have visions of Hewitt running into Tim, and I can see Hewitt going up and down the baseline in metronomic fashion and Tim just volleying away at the net. :D This really has given me some fascinating food for thought folks.

Not sure who is in the doubles yet, but unless they meet some really experinced fast court doubles specialists, I'm thinking Bouterac and Jamie Murray might win. Played a blonder yesterday and I've never seen Bouterac before but he was so good. Both had fast reactions, good serves and excellent volleys. :ok:

Whoops, my mistake! I thought they were playing each other. I quite like the sound of that pairing, in fact doubles is shaping up to be more fun than the singles. :D

Speaking of Bogo, who is much maligned, he is around his all time high rank of about 117. Will he actualyl make any improvement or is that gonna be it? Frustrates me because he does have talent IMO but fails to capitalise. He so weak mentally.
