Have all the action models going of these - could be worth quite a bit in many years time I reckon B)
Anybody else around my age admit to watching this when they were younger?
Sam - June 6, 2007 03:53 PM (GMT)
I had a feeling people would be shy roflmao
liam_valid - June 6, 2007 04:15 PM (GMT)

SerenaW19 - June 6, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
Yeah I used to watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangeeerrrrrrs! :D As the theme tune went
I only watched the first one mind, all the other ones after such as Power Rangers Lost in Space seemed to be taking it a bit too far, to me. I remember the pink one, I did quite fancy her
I thought it was quite a good show really, I remember the old sage/ghost mentor Zego or something and Lord Zed, it was quite a good show for a ten year old
SerenaW19 - June 6, 2007 06:31 PM (GMT)
I never bought the action figures though, I was more into the X-Men and Spiderman cartoons at that age and spent most of my money on the action figures for those :D
SuperBRAT - June 6, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
I was too old for this Serena. When I was a kid it was Scooby Doo, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet. And guess what the kinds like now? The same stuff  My nephew is obsessed with Gerry Anderson stuff at age 10.

I used to love those shows too, thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet were shown quite a lot earlier on in the 90's and I was obsessed with them :ok:
It seems that as time goes on, they repeat the old children's programmes as well as make new ones, so each generation becomes more T.V obsessed than the one before roflmao
One of my fav shows was wacky races and catch the pigeon as well which were on the 60's/70's I think, oh and the Flintstones, who doesn't love that show :D
And also Thundercats was good too :D

I love Gerry Anderson and I'm 41! I used to liek Joe 90, the clever geek with the huge glasses. That funky mad pschadelic theme tune! I forget though, which one did Marina come from, the girl who swam in the sea? And do you remember Harmony and Destiny Angel? There was Fireball XL ??? I think, I remember the theme tune very well.
I used to come home form school every Friday to watch the Flintstones, I loved it. :D And I was a big fan of Wacky Races, Mutley's laugh! We used to make up vulgar names for the charcters like Dick B*stardly and Penelope P*sspot! kids eh? roflmao
I used to quite like Boss Cat as well, and used to like Hong Kong Phooey but then got sick of it.

Yeah my nephew has all these fancy dolls, like Captain Black that talks! My sis has got him quite a few original things from the 60s though like a Thunderbirds jigsaw, which he is quite proud of. :)
I was a huge fan of Dr Who. Form being about 4 onwards really. Tom Baker adn John Pertwee were my era. Worzel Gummidge was my mum's fave. Sapphire and Steel - I do recall that now, it was a bit strange I think has become a cult hit so I hear. Who was the guy in it? I can see his face but his name escapes me. I liek the old B&W star treaks, they are hilarious. Ever seen the one with huge psychadelic drugs overtones - some flower scatters wierd stuff around that makes you high - where Spok appears stoned? Really funny. :D

True a lot of children's T.V his higher quality than some of this rubbish, all the reality and game shows, there's only so much you can take
And I think programmes like Horizon are really good, but there's not enough stuff like that on, there's documentaries alright, into the Diana Conspiracy and Shopping on the High Street
Dramas I would say are about the only really high quality shows being made these days.
SuperBRAT - June 6, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
And good dramas are thin on the ground. I knwo what you mean about those type of documentaries. We've seen them alll before and they are often sensationalist. I watch a lot of music docs, and I love them cos I never tire of music, BUT don't they keep rehashing the same stuff over and over. You get the same clips, the same talking heads, across lots of different shows. Soem new stuff would be nice!
I watch those rubbishy shows like neighbours, holiday homes or builders from hell actually cos they are either shockingly bad luck for people and you you'd better be careful yourself, and some of the stuff is just unbelievable or just hilarious! :D

But I was more of a Star Trek, Dr Who and Battlestar Galattica kind of gal... oh, and Sapphire and Steel... a bit of Wurzel Gummidge.... loads of rubbish really!
|
|
I cant remember his name either but not surprised it had a cult following - its weirdness virtually guaranteed that!
Blakes 7 too - got to love that!

Yeah I used to watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangeeerrrrrrs! :D As the theme tune went
I only watched the first one mind, all the other ones after such as Power Rangers Lost in Space seemed to be taking it a bit too far, to me. I remember the pink one, I did quite fancy her
I thought it was quite a good show really, I remember the old sage/ghost mentor Zego or something and Lord Zed, it was quite a good show for a ten year old  |
rita was first, then the LEGENDARY Lord Zedd came along :D
he was awesome, what a bloke, I reckon he should come on centre court and be overlord roflmao
Then I think they had a bloke with a hammerhead who finished the original rangers off - after that it's a load of bollocks and next to no one cares roflmao
Join Kimberley's fan club! :D

Stop the pigeon, Wacky Races, Flintstones, Tom and Jerry are all stuff of legend in my book :D
also I like a lot of the "cartoon cartoons" that were made by cartoon network, such as Cow and Chicken (with it's amazing spinoff 'I am Weasel'!), Dexter's lab, Johnny Bravo etc...

I would hardly call myself a Trekkie but I do like Star Trek, I liked all the ones from the 90's too. The last one they did called Enterprise was crap though  roflmao

Can't stand star trek, but the theme tune was good! :D

Just to get back to the Power rangers theme - has anybody seen/remembered the movie?
Ivan Ooze was the bad guy in that, he was brilliantly played!
At one stage at the start the rangers went up to him and said: "You can't do anything, we're the power rangers!"
His reply: "wahoo! Where's my autograph book?" roflmao

Tom and Jerry are great. Just slapstick at it's best. B) I used to like Daffy Duck cos he was dead cheeky and cocky. "You're deSPICKable!" roflmao `
