Bizarrely i am in Hungary at the moment but safe from pickled humans in Budapest. although there was a distinctive flavour off the that whiskey earlier... :(

OK. This one is really not a "fun and games" story, but rather sad and disturbing. It says a lot about the kind of pressure some young tennis players are under from their parents, though.

I don't have a link for this as it is an old Uk news story, but there was this couple who went away for the night. When they came back the next day, their house had been ransacked. There was broken crockery, ornaments, pictures hanging off the wall, ripped wallpaper, holes in the sofa and so on.

They called th epolic eout and they coudl find no sign of any forced entry, so it was a mystery to them as to who had doen it, and they were starting to think that the couple had made it up to claim on their insurance. While they were dusting for fingerprints, they heard a noise and discovered a squirrel hiding behind an ornament. It had somehow got in and because it was frightened and coudl nto escape, it had wrecked the place! They never caught it and arrested it, it excaped out the door! roflmao

I love my squirrels and one accidentally fell in my house and ate it's way out through the UPVC stuff while I was out shopping once :D

Grey squirrel ? They'll bite their way through anything. No wonder the poor red ones disappearing.

Oh yes, we don't have reds round here. The greys are American immagrants introduced by the Victorians around 1880. They will eat almost anything to survive when they have to, but the reds are much fussier and so have not survived. There is also athery about a disease that greys carry which can affect the reds, but not sur ehow reelvant that is. Thing is you can;t realy blame the greys, they are just survivors. it is however a problem that the reds are dying out, but there are loads on the isle of Wight as the greys have not got there yet! They are just as cheeky as the greys too.

I'm very luck, but it's partly because i set up the conditions for them, like thick hedges, plenty of the right plants and food. I have hedgehogs too, and they are outside shiffing abotu now, I feed them cat food. Funny things they are, and I dont; get rid of snails so as they can eat them. I have loads of birds too, inc doves. It makes a house 10 mins form a town seem like a country retreat. Do you have much of a garden?

I cracked up last week when I heard this very serious story in the UK.

The Government has a huge problem in that it is failign to control immigration as it doe snto have a clue how many illegal residents there are in the UK, or WHERE they are.

Then five illegal immigrants were found working as cleaners in - THE IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT!!!!!! roflmao roflmao roflmao

Now how incompetent does THAT look? - where's the DOH sign? :D

**************************************

The CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) is the department responsible for maintinaing individual criminal records. When you apply for jobs or University, a CRB check is done to screen you and ensure it is safe to employ you. 1,500 people in the UK who have NO criminal record have been refused jobs etc. because their CRB check came back positive. The CRB has mixed up soem of it's records where details like names are similar! And it has REFUSED to apologise or compensate anyone for their trouble!!!

Not funny, but a disgrace I think. Considering how enmployers etc. RELY on their info and take it as absolute truth, makes me wonder how many people out there who are risky to employ whose check came back clear! :o

Lightning exits woman's bottom

A WOMAN has suffered severe burning to her anus after being struck by lightning which hit her in the mouth and passed right through her body.

Natasha Timarovic, 27, was cleaning her teeth at home when lightning struck the building.

She said: "I had just put my mouth under the tap to rinse away the toothpaste when the lightning must have struck the building.

I don't remember much after that, but I was later told that the lightning had travelled down the water pipe and struck me on the mouth, passing through my body.

It was incredibly painful, I felt it pass through my torso and then I don't remember much at all." Doctors at the city hospital where she was treated for burns to the mouth and rear said: "The accident is bizarre but not impossible.

She was wearing rubber bathroom shoes at the time and so instead of earthing through her feet it appears the electricity shot out of her backside," a medic told local television news channel, 24 Sata.

"It appears to have earthed through the damp shower curtain that she was touching as she bent over to put her mouth under the tap. If she had not been wearing the shoes she would probably have been killed by the blast."
