For instance, do you consider the grunts and at times obscene time-wasting of Rafael Nadal cheating? Do you find Canas a cheat, after all he's been done for drugs yet he's stll on the tour?

Well i've only seen the most part of the first set on the replay (had to go hospital afterwards :(), and to be honest I think the better player won and it was the result I expected...

Yes Justine was too good, but I don't think you'll find a single soul that thought Serena approached that match in a tactically or mentally good frame of mind :ok:

Credit to Justine though for sticking to her guns and blasting Serena off the court, she must have enjoyed it :)

It's nothing to do with the grunts or time wasting.
It's the growing catalogue of incidents that Maria has been involved with:

1. Constant barracking from Yuri which I may add has got Maria several code violations for

2. Lying to the umpire while playing Peer last year

3. Those hand signals from Joyce and Yuri in the US Open

4. Then those recent incidents against Schnyder

Nadal plays that way, he just takes his time between points just like Capriati played at a rate of knots.
Canas has been punished for his drugs thing anyway.
Besides which i tend to follow the women's game more than the men's, hence my comments on cheating are directed to the female players.

Well i'm not worried so don't you worry :)

Basically she's had a cough for about three months, too blody-minded to go doc originally even though it was bad, so we left it. It went for a bit, then came back with a vengeance. she went to the doc twice, sadly he was a temporary doctor as our old (brilliant) Doc has just retired, and basically the guy just fobbed us off with simple prescription drugs.

Anyway, bank holiday monday, she was awful - could barely move without being breathless. So on tuesday dad took her down to the doctors again, this time with a different, more experinced full-time doc. He just said, "You should be in hospital luv" so there she went! :o

anyway, she has an infection which caused a huge buildup of fluid near her stomach, which eventually started overspilling near her lungs and causing the breathing problems. Fortunetly she has an oxygen mask at hand and has been well fed, given the right injections and medication and is on the way back :)

When they've pinpoited exactly what the infection is they should be able to drain off the fluid safely and she should be able to come out soon after, but at the moment it's all testing and its really frustrating! So i'm visiting with me dad every night and basically sneaking things in such as choccy bars, puzzler books, newspapers and biscuits! roflmao

So (1) has kindof been dealt with, and the others are individual incidents.

Nadal cheats several times a match with his serve, you are supposed to hit the thing after, I believe, 25 seconds and he often way exceeds that, frustrating and possibly unnerving opponents. And drugs is something worse than anything Maria does.

You're obsessed son! She's not the only lady players who lies/ argues/ hand signals etc. anyway ;)

Re: Maria's cheating, personally I feel she shows no more gamesmanship than many girls on the WTA, and men on the ATP Im sure also, although I don't watch them as much.
The closest thing to cheating going on imo, is the conspiracy to give Maria easy draws at Grand Slams :P :unsure:

It is noticable you only respond to selective points, instead of the ones which are ripping your argument apart. Saying "i'm not as big a fan of the men's game" is no excuse. There are big "cheats" there too, if you're on an anti-cheating crusdade like your title says you should be moanin about them too... :rolleyes:

DL, I think she needed that draw to get this far on clay to be honest. But now she has got so far, she may well just throw caution to the wind... (I think Henin, should they meet, will hand her arse to her on a plate though as might Ivanovic)...

This had me screaming with laughter.

Sharapova does tend to grunt louder when she is losing its almost screaming and to me thats kinda tactical screaming which is cheating.I have also witnessed her getting code violations for getting coached from her dad from the stands but in her defence I have seen her tell him to shut up when he was doing it at times!

Nope these cases all happened as I saw the matches.
