Anyone watching Jankovic and Williams?

Missed the start, and joined it with Jankovic a break up at 4-2. Venus was hardly awake and screwed up a great chance to break back. Looking like Jankovic will take the first set 6-4.

Very easy set for Jankovic, Venus not accurate enough and agressive enough. So much for this great match! :whistle:

I mean Venus is hitting all the winners and Jankovic is just waiting for the errors to fly off Venus' forehand returns. I don't think a single game has gone to deuce yet :o

Shame Venus started off so poorly as if she'd held her serve the set wouldn't be over yet.

Yes, her forehand is bloody crap it has to be said. Warming it up a bit now though. She just broke Jankovic but that was more Jankovic chucking it. Not a good match so far.

Not exactly. Venus's error rate is awful! it's onyl hope is a tight thrid set to save it from mediocrity! :D

5-2 to venus second set, looks like a third, she is starting to run Jankovic around and getting errors from her. Why Jankovic doesn't use a deep slice to buy herself more time i'll never know but that is the problem with a lot of the women...

Will be an intriguing final set - but I fancy Jankovic to take it, she herself lost her way in that second set and if she pulls herself together I think she should win...

Yeah tbh Jelena shoudl really have won that 2nd set. She is a good little player, and one of the few who can actually use the net with confidence.

I fear that break will be fatal much like in the first set, Venus didn't quite keep the intensity level up there.

well her games too low-percentage to be able to consistently keep all that up unfortunetly.

It's not 100% hit shots that win you tennis matches, but 90%
