Come on tim, get him wound up and send him packing.
We need a vocal Queens crowd today too, doubt that will happen mind...
sir matchstickmen - June 16, 2006 12:18 PM (GMT)
Break point immediately for tim...
sir matchstickmen - June 16, 2006 12:19 PM (GMT)

Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 12:39 PM (GMT)
:yahoo: Is it still going well for Timmy?
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 12:40 PM (GMT)
Oh. I guess not. 3-3 now.
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 12:45 PM (GMT)
Henman break again! Seems like kind of an odd grass court match, with 5 breaks of serve in the first 7 games.
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 12:52 PM (GMT)
Henman survives a break point and holds for 5-3. :bigwave:
Glad to see him winning some matches, but he'll get eaten alive by somebody at Wimbledon, if he doesn't serve better than this. (Of course, I'm only going by the stats, as I'm not watching, but the serve stats don't look too good.)
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 12:54 PM (GMT)
But luckily for Tim, Tursunov's serve stats look even worse.
Tim takes the first set 6-3.

never underestimate tursunov Mkk - The guy is capable of some amazing stuff at times
sir matchstickmen - June 16, 2006 12:57 PM (GMT)
You probably wont have seen the last point of that set Nick, but it was unbelievable what Tursunov did.
It was 30-40, tim chipped a slice backhand back, Tursunov mishit his forehand, It clipped the baseline yet tursunov thought it went out, so just strolled across to tim's reply and tapped the ball into the net! And it wasn't called out either!.
he looks fed up at the moment - tim must keep going.
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 01:01 PM (GMT)
Well, he held to 15 to start the second set. Good to see a comfortable hold.
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 01:03 PM (GMT)
I have to pull for Blake in the next round, though . . . .

Blake is in the other half though right? I'm sure tim cant meet james until the final - i'll be gald if they both make it there though!

I was kidding! DT is a good player but if the timid one plays anything like he did in the last three rounds (bar the occasional lapses in concentration), tursonov doesnt have a chance ....

Oops. You're right. I thought Blake had the winner of this match next, but he'll play either Gonzo or Roddick.

If Tursunov played his best all of the time he would be the 2nd best player on grass, he has huge weapons!
Anyway tim just broke, he's playing well generally, but his serve has been a bit dodgy thus far...
sir matchstickmen - June 16, 2006 01:12 PM (GMT)
I told you guys Monfils would take Ljubicic btw...
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 01:21 PM (GMT)
C'mon, Tim. Just consolidate a break and finish this match off!!

But he doesn't. Now Tursunov has a chance to serve for the set.
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 01:36 PM (GMT)
Nick Havoc - June 16, 2006 01:37 PM (GMT)
That's a total of 12 service breaks out of 19 games so far. I guess serving isn't much of an advantage in this match.
sir matchstickmen - June 16, 2006 01:42 PM (GMT)
Nick it's been unbelieveable, Henman is not serving great and Tursunov is returning very well, yet some of the howlers Tursunov has thrown in today have been incredible.
He just got broken missing an easy smash on top of the net, but he has missed shimple taps into the court for points too, and his attitude suggests he doesn't want to be there.
COME ON TIM, BREAK HIM FOR THE MATCH!!! :D :o
sir matchstickmen - June 16, 2006 01:43 PM (GMT)
Beautiful backhand by tim, but it's 40-15...
