If you'd read my posts recently you'll know that I have dropped my partisan support of Maria - I will now only defend her when she gets random stick from people ( :rolleyes: ).

Well lets be honest, I only got close to Maria and her career because:

(a) she was beautiful and won wimby at 17 in fairytale fashion

and

(B) because all the twats on the BBC board were being quite ridiculous in slagging off somebody who was going to give tennis a hell of a lot of exposure for tennis reasons as well as the beauty. I was fighting her corner from day one for that reason!

Anyway, (a) is largely irrelevant now (she's still pretty though) and (B) is not so big an issue as it was when I first joined the Beeb, largely as a result of my efforts roflmao

So now i'm a lot more neutral - And anyway I find the mens tour more exciting, varied and competetive IMHO :P

Did you all see Serena watching Venus' match in that AWFUL head scarf - she looked like a farmers wife or something - what was she trying to do? Sneak onto court without anyone noticing? I gotta agree with Sam. In my opinion Serena didn't look good at all yesterday. But her tennis (after the first set at least) looked great, and I am sure that's mostly what she cares about.

Venus looked great today as did her tennis, no doubt about that.

I'm not a fan of pink but it was a great colour on her. The headband and earrings looked great, a nice funky ensemble IMO. :ok:

I know, as Petalp said in another thread, I thought the pink looked great in contrast to her complexion....I also think that it suits her figure actually. Don't think Barbie pink would look good on all players though.

I can't believe i'm saying this, but I agree with matchstick ( :yikes: ). I don't think that outift suits her, it makes her muscles from her back and arms stick out, and kind of makes her look like a transvestite :unsure:

She can look like a TV if she doesn't make the effort, but she can look quite decent if she works on it-having said that some TV'S can look quite convincing i'm quite often surprised!
