Why can't the beeb show another match on bbci whilst play is suspended, even if it's a match from RG last year (just like they do when there's a rain break at Wimbledon)? :shrug:

I don't see any reason why they can't do that - would it cost them any extra to be continuously showing tennis than it would to show a picture of a covered tennis court?

Do you remember the football World Cup coverage, where they had a highlights spiel after every day? I'd like to see that for a start; and why the multi-screen option isn't available like it is for Wimbledon, I don't know. I know not many people in this country are interested in the French, but it's still a shame that they've gone to the effort to get live coverage but it's marred by stuff like this. I guess it must just cost them extra :shrug: Over to Sky I switch!

Yeah I didn't expect 2002 style domination from the start, I think she is more of a rhythym player on clay than on other surfaces, but she has adjusted her game so that she can be successful with less matches....so here's hoping :D
