France draw 0-0 with Switzerland
Since their win in 1998 France have been really dissppointing
Not quite...since 2000-01 ish theyve been disapointing (they did win euro 2000 after all...though they werent at their best then and were v lucky to beat the italians!!).
Still back them to go through though not to do very much in the tournament ... (now watch them storm to the title cos i said that!)
A good result for Switzerland, though. Might cheer poor Fed up a bit :) ;)

I don't think they were lucky against the Italians in honesty, I know they equalised in injury time but they had dominated the match.
Never write the French off, in 98 they looked unimpressive a lot of the time (2nd round beat paraguay 1-0 in golden goal extra time, QF beat Italy on pens after a 0-0, SF beat Croatia 2-1 after coming from behind). And they had no strikers of any repute then, yet they still won the trophy.
