The field for Estoril is surprisingly strong this year, with four of the Top 10 present as well as Gasquet. I wonder why defending (and two-time) champion Nalbandian took a pass--probably for the same reason. B)
There's one less Top 10 player in the draw anyhow. Gonzalez, who has done a whole lot of nothing since the AO, has gone out in 2 and 4 to PHM, who is on a run of form since lifting the trophy down in Casablanca.

I'm surprised to see not much talk about this tourney, with all the Djokovic and Gasquet enthusiasts around here. Should be a cracking final, even though it would have been good to see Gasquet overcome Mathieu in a complete match (he retired trailing 3-1 in the first set). Too much tennis lately for the latter, I'd suppose.
On any other surface I'd give the nod to Djokovic, but on clay it's more of a toss-up; still he must be playing well to see off Robredo convincingly in straights 7-5, 6-1. Both men have a clay title apiece, and will be looking to pick up another.
