What are big tournaments or majors you think Roger could have won. i know what ifs are pointless but here goes...

05 Australian! Okay it was a great semi but he had match points and really should have won that. You can assume Leyton wouldn't have posed too many problems in that final.

06 French! He was going fine absolutely blistering winners then was it 1-0 40-0 up and a disputed line call and it all fell apart. He was too pasive from then on but still forced tie breaks.

03 US Open! Someone fill me in here???? He was riding on his first slam success I have no idea what happened.

Disagree with 06 French...granted, he was playing well, but second set lapses after first set demolitions are a bit of a Fed trademark if you ask me- Wimbledon 06 Final, for example. Bagel first set, 0-2 seconds set. 05 Aus semi could definitely have gone either way tho, and yea, I think Hewitt would have been dispatched of in straight sets.

I think last years RG was a bit of a missed opportunity yeah, and also the 2005 AO semi was a bit of a shock. but by and large though with Federer I think he's lived upto his potential and made the most of his opportunities.

I think we will be saying what if, if he doesn't win the French this year. If he had maintained his momentum from the AO, who knows what form he could be in right now.

Fed should have finished 03 as number 1 instead of Roddick. Federer won a slam convincingly as opposed to Roddick who had MPs against Nalbandian in his USO semi but was only saved by Nalby choking under a 40k wild crowd. But also had Fed won his match in Paris against Henman, he would have have enough points to finish the year as number 1. He has a dead easy FH to secure the first set while Henman is completely off court but puts it long or in the net. It is fair to say this shot cost him the year end number 1 spot (He would be on his 4th consecutuve, going for 5th!).

He also won the masters 03 very convincingly.
