This isn't a finalised calendar by any means, but here is a rough draft of how the ATP and WTA seasons could look once the new changes are put in place from 2009:

- No more back to back masters as the ATP finally decide to seperate Canada and Cincinnati by a week. This change was long overdue.
- Davis Cup ties almost immediately after the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. I don't think this is a good move at all.
- Monte-Carlo will be downgraded (scandulous decision), while Hamburg will most likely be scrapped altogether.
- Madrid will become a new (combined) claycourt masters series event, while Shanghai will get a new indoor masters series event in October.
WTA
- Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo moved to September
- Antwerp and Zurich, which both seem like great events to me, will be scrapped.
- Indian Wells will become mandatory, as will Beijing and the new claycourt tournament in Madrid
- Unlike the ATP they actually have shortened their season slightly, with the WTA Championships being pushed several weeks forward.
