Title: Kohlschreiber v Nalbandian
Description: Go Kohly!
mightyjeditribble - April 18, 2007 01:56 PM (GMT)
Yes!
Kohlschreiber took the first set 7-5, and broke Nalbandian in the first game of the second! :ok:
Not to celebrate too early though --- the Donut-Loving Argentine has often been known to fight back. However, Philipp just consolidated for a 2-0 lead. :yahoo:

Nalbandian holds to get on the board. 2-1 to Kohly ...
He's in a dangerous position now, I think. He knows that if he keeps holding his serve, he will have caused a huge upset. But he is still 4 service games away from that, so there is a big danger of nerves getting the better of him.
On the plus side, Donut Man should be a good target for him (a la the AO match against Nadal) ;)
mightyjeditribble - April 18, 2007 02:04 PM (GMT)
Kohly holds, making it 3-1 :yahoo:
perfect break point conversion rate for both players in this match ... only Kohly had 3, Nalby only 1. :ok:
mightyjeditribble - April 18, 2007 02:08 PM (GMT)
Double break! :ok: :yahoo: :bigwave:
4-1 to Kohlschreiber. Can Harry Houdini aka David Nalbandian pull off another escape from this, or is it the end of the road for him in Monte Carlo?

Nalbandian retires, and Kohly goes through :o
What happened? Did anyone watch?

Way to go, Kohly!! B)
I thought that he played a fine match against Rafa at the AO.. a dangerous and often underrated opponent, methinks..
Doesn't seem to be such a thing as a 'shock Nalby defeat' anymore, does there, eh?
