This made me sad :(

It's a nice tribute though from when Lindsay was in Indian Wells.

I think it shows what a nice person Lindsey is, i've always liked and respected her, despite her height.
She will be sadly missed, and it's great she's now thinking of her family at last.

She could be 2ft tall and i'd still love her

Well clearly tall people are fundamentally bad people. Their souls are black and they have wicked thoughts.

But kudos to Lindsay for breaking the stereotype :ok:

Her height is part of who she is, what i'm saying is i don't mind her height at all, being oversized has nothing to do with personality, most of the time but sometimes tall people tend to have a chip on their shoulders-but not Lindsey.
I think she is an underachiever, be that's ok because she's alwyyes been good for the game.

Eh? I am 6ft which isn't tall or short but have many friends who are 6ft2 or more and I really can't say that any of them or any other tall folk I know have chips on their shoulders?

Have you any evidence to back up your claims?

Now look what you've done, Liam. You should have let sleeping dogs lie.

I was hoping this poster's last contribution would have stayed in this thread. Wouldn't have minded if he/she had answered your question in it, though. :crazy1:

Look i'm not saying all oversized people have problems, but many of them do this is a fact. At both extremes of the size spectrum people struggle to fit in with society and this has effects on them.
Tall people are ridiculed-oftem wrongly, and this has effects on their young minds, i'm sure we've all seen this happen, small peopld too.

There is tons of evidence to back my point up, but much is concealed and rightly so-it would upset many people.

If i may say too, Six foot is quite average for a man so you will never have experienced the prejudice i speak of. To dismiss this prejudice because you don't believe it is also wring.

Many suffer simply for what they look like-this is a FACT!

I actually said I was neither tall nor small in my post. And yes people do suffer for what they look like. But "a chip on their shoulder" is possibly bad definition for what you mean. I think you possibly mean more of an "insecurity" than chip of their shoulder. A "chip on one's shoulder" more of less defines a hostile attitude towards something/someone.

metaphysical - May 23, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
i agree Gav, hostile might have been a better way to have put it, maybe chip on the shoulder is not the correct term.

Hey dont blame me, im part of her mafia  It just sounded strange that someone likes a person DESPITE their height  im sure Linds would laugh though, shes cool like that

Yeah, but if you follow that link I made up there, you'd see that this person has made some, er, questionable remarks on physicality in the past, which left you asking if it was a wind-up.

As a tangentially related aside, one can also see the relentless anti-Williams grudge in their posts (and in that thread as well), including a couple of beauties as of yesterday. The kicker is using the pic of Capriati celebrating that extremely controversial 2004 USO win against Serena as an icon. Quite an agenda there.
