:o

It has suddenly become very tight at the top, hasn't it!!

I'd think that Fed will be geared up for reasserting his authority on the game.. hopefully.. !

Djoko fully deserves to be number 2 though.. what a year he is having!

Looking forward to Fed, Rafa, Djoko, Canas battling it out in the clay season :)

Am assuming that A-Rod above Rafa whilst having less points is a typo of some sort..

Tenez - April 2, 2007 10:09 PM (GMT)
From now on Fed has many points at stake. But since his closest rival has even more at stake, Fed should have his number 1 ranking quite secure till the USO.

I doubt Canas will be as successful on clay as on the hard courts of Miami. Moya proved the week before, that a good shot maker can shake him off, Fed should have done it this week, I like to think that had Gasquet converted one of 6 break points in the first set, he would also have stopped him and finally Djoko clearly showed the limitation of Canas game. Yes Canas had a good run but any top 50 player can have a good run but sooner or later they are exposed and I doubt Canas will reproduce a similar run in the clay TMS. Almagro, Nadal, Davydenko, Fed and many more will be prepared this time.

How does Roddick rank above Nadal??

*Edit: sees that petalp has already made the same point*

sorry - i just copied and pasted from eurosport and they apparently made a typo. Roddick has 210, not 201 points!

Actually, in the rankings Eurosport managed to put Djokovic in twice and completely miss out Ljubicic :yikes:

wishful thinking on the part of Eurosport?! ;)

I think Fed will stay secure, but it certainly is tight at the top...makes it more and more interesting

Well, I did wonder if "certain" members of this board had been hacking in to the Eurosport site ;)

It's Eurosport punishment for yet another display of exceptionally sore losing from Ljubicic.

If he had such issues with Canas being allowed to play, it's funny how he didn't voice them BEFORE the match, and chose to rant on after the match.

Not good to see-he's slated so many people now. Roddick, Nadal...

Ferrer isn't doing badly in the race - he's a player I never consider good, but is somehow always hanging around there in the tournaments!

...And you left Roger at number 1? How interesting ;)

:D

Leaving Ljubicic out is far more realistic than knocking Roger off number one!! :D
