Has anyone bought it?the price is ridiculous at £425 and the games at £50 but most people will pay it.The games look really impressive. That Virtua tennis 3 looks amazing i cant wait to play that. What do other people think?
Nice piece of kit although I have heard the Blue Ray DVD playing isn't much kop. But that doesn't surprise me as the Blue Ray DVD players are actually of a similar price.
It looks like the games will be brilliant, but its too expensive and I am not really into that kind of thing anymore....
Nice to see you back on here by the way MN.

I have only ever read about playstations in the paper - never even seen one.

Yeah thanks Gav i agree with all of your points the £50 a game is the thing that annoys me the most.
They came out just before Christmas here in the States. They were in limited supply, though, so people were camping out at the electronics stores to be in line to get one, then a lot of them were selling them on e-bay for obscene amounts.
I guess if you have to be one of the first to have it . . . They're pretty much available everywhere now, though, and I think the Wii is outselling PS3, because of the price difference. They're not quite as pricey here, though. I think it's either $500 or $600, depending on the model you get.
We're not heavy into video games, though, even for my son. He has a Gameboy and we have a first-generation Nintendo Entertainment System. (We have NES, so we've just missed out on the Super-NES, N64, Gamecube and now Wii.)
Urgh! I hate playstations and stuff like that!
I would much rather being a sport of some kind, especially tennis!
