Not in the greatest mental state at the moment in terms of her game and she gets handed this draw!!

I think its more of the williams in trouble. They are the ones who haven't played for the last month and 2months odd.

It's a pig of a draw for Shazza - but nobody is a winner really, especially the Williams sisters who (apparently... :whistle: ) want to get back in there.
The tournament will definitely have only one out of Venus/Serena/Shazza after 4 rounds thus guaranteeing the loss of two of the bigger draws (assuming they are all on form) in the later rounds.
Those Williams sisters need to play more matches and move up the rankings if they want to avoid this sort of draw.... ;)

This "good draw", "bad draw" stuff all seems rather daft to me. If you want to win a tournament, should you not be able to beat all the other players in it?

Well I'm hoping Maria does well. She's got a bad record against Serena here but at least she has a good one against Venus!

The 'bad draw' for me is that 2 of my favourite players are guaranteed to be eliminated before the 1/4 finals

I think that Serena shuold be quite pleased with her draw really, :shrug:
And I think Venus can pull off the 'upset' :pray:
