Title: Nalbandian Donuts Through!

Dunking Donut specialist David Nalbandian edges past Mathieu with 6-7 6-2 6-0 win.Handing him a donut in the process. This is symbolic of the fact that he loves eating. roflmao

Good Win for him though.I actually would love for him to win this now that Federer is out! I love Nalbys game,he is just lazy at times and inconsistent, but vastly talented!

Nalbandian is an interesting character. He really could have been the US Open champ in 2003 but for Roddick's amazing comeback in the semi. He has been in and out of shape over the last couple of years but deep down I still think he has it in him to get at least 1 slam in his career, but that "something" he has in him appears to be buried under a hell of a lot of doughnuts....

Totally agree Gav. Nalby had one or two MPs in this 2003 USO and anywhere else that on the biggest centre court in the world, I think he would have won that match.

That would have made Fed number 1 at the end of 2003 and 4th consecutive in the bag now.

Nevermind. But it just shows how thin the margin is between a GS champion and the others. Luck in a way can play a great part.

Yes, even Federer gets lucky on big points in this obviously highly competitive era. ;)

Do you guys think that if he won that US Open it would have been him on the receiving end of the drubbing Roddick is getting now?

Someone interestingly described David as one of the best players who famously and successfully grabs defeat from the jaws of victory...Needless to say,I laughed my head off!
