Wimbledon 99 Steffi Losing
But my most heartbreaking would have to Wimbledon 95 Sanchez-Vicario losing.I was a teenager and it made me cry!

There are 3 for me:
1. Makiri v Schiavone at the Kremlin Cup
I think even Maria cried at the end of this match. It lasted 3 1/2 hours and was exhausting. She fought and fought but too no avail. It was so sad to see her lose so horribley
2. Davenport v Kuznetsova USO SF
Lindsay was virtually guarnateed to win the USO the way she was playing but all the matches took its toll and Kuzzy won. This was Lindsay's last chance and nearly made me :cry:
3. Goran v Tim
The year Tim should have won Wimbledon. This has haunted every British tennis fan. Its not just becuase he lost - its the nature of the loss: rain, delays etc. Again, it was his moment to shine but he failed

As an Elena fan I've had my fair share of heart wrenching defeats but these two stand out the most:
1. Elena Dementieva vs Mary Pierce - US Open 2005 SF - I will NEVER EVER get over it....EVER!
2. Elena Dementieva vs Anastasia Myskina - French Open Final 2004 - Elena just didn't put in the performance she was capable of. She broke Myskina at the start and if her serve had held up for the first few games I feel it would have been Nastya who cracked under the pressure :(

I agree, i desperate for ASV to Wimbledon :cry: I was gutted when Linds lost the 2005 AO to Serena too. And Marys 2005 finals :yikes:

Evert losing to Nav - Wimbledon 87 & 88
Graf losing to McNeill - Wimbledon 94
Capriati losing to Henin - USO 03
And of course Tim's awful loss to Goran - Wimbledon 01 :cry:
