Hey guys..

I don't know whether anyone else has noticed but the site seems a tad slow to me at the mo.. it may just be my work access but if you are also experiencing this, I did read on the Invision Forums that slow servers are a known issue at the moment and they are trying to remedy this.

Sounds like a weak era for servers to me... This would never have happened with all the fast servers in the 90s.

Yes, it's a shame though that the 90's models are now much older, prone to more frequent mechanical breakdowns, and would probably be incompatible with modern systems...

Well actually, when I saw the title and the forum it's in, I thought it would be about a slow server for the board, but I also thought that it invited (or possibly already contained) lots of puns about Rafa ... :P

Of course, even the speed of today's 'slow' Multi-Gigahertz servers pales in comparison to how slow the 90's servers were, although they seemed pretty fast to us at the time.

It is just that even the rapid technological advances cannot keep up with the public's growing desire for perfection ...

You see what happens - just last week the worlds top-rated processor was carelessly plugged into an aging 1990s motherboard in Los Angeles.

This has caused a dramatic degradation in its most recent performance - some seasoned observers likened it to a ZX81.

I must be very slow indeed, because it never occured to me to think it might be nadal or pearce :o

Trisco, yes, I DO think the server has been slow recently - I thought there was something wrong with my computer, so glad to know it's not just me :D
