Well with Vaidisova out the chain of 8 different women winning slams must be broken by either JHH or Kuznetsova
RG 2004- Anastasia Myskina
W 2004- Maria Sharapova
USO 2004- Svetlana Kuznetsova
AO 2005- Serena Williams
RG 2005- Justine Henin-Hardenne
W 2005- Venus Williams
USO 2005- Kim Clijsters
AO 2006- Amelie Mauresmo
RG 2006- Kuznetsova/Henin-Hardenne
Well done to the women for keeping it so interesting and undecided as to who would win....
Thanks for that tidbit, SG. That is pretty remarkable. I think Justine will win, but credit to Kuznetsova. She sort of dropped of the radar screen shortly after her USO win, but seems to be back near the top again. And who knows, she may pull off another big win Saturday.
Shame it's ended, Lindsay could have kept it going at Wimbledon :D
Well Justine was the last person to win before that run began, so I guess it's right that she ends it...
