Description: famous last words

Flame - March 7, 2007 12:24 AM (GMT)
get that trophy polished up real nice, cause we're gonna win it.

and there's nothing the scots can do about it (manic laughter).

one, two, three.

that's just me counting my chickens.

the most pointless title ever belongs to the boys in green! :P

Pebs - March 7, 2007 04:08 PM (GMT)
yep, its just sitting there ripe for the taking :)

and I am sure your boys will win it in style hun

am hoping to get a look at the rugby but fairly busy all weekend, I may just have to get an update on here :(

liam_valid - March 7, 2007 04:28 PM (GMT)
whats the triple crown?

whats the triple crown?

It's a trophy between the 4 'home nations', if one team beats the other 3, they win the triple crown, so if Ireland beat Scotland, they'll have beaten Wales, England and Scotland and will have won the triple crown :)

yeah, what Dav said! Its like they also have the Calcutta cup during the six nations - a grudge match between Scotland and England each time.

That we won this year :D

But the triple is going to be Irelands.

And after this weekend, the slam is probably going to belong to some lovely sounding french people!

it appears that the ref gave the welsh kicker (i forget his name) duff info on the time left to play so he kicked it to the corner to try and get a try to win the match. but then the time was up so the game was finished. If he had kicked for goal it would have been a tie.

Dinky Jo - March 10, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)

The game ended in controversial circumstances as Wales were awarded a penalty in Italian territory and Hook kicked for a line-out instead of going for the kick at goal which would have secured a draw.

Referee Chris White seemed to tell the Wales players they had time for one more play, but he then blew up for full-time as the visitors prepared to re-start the game.

this is what i meant????? seemed awfully unfair on Wales......
