Must admit never heard of these two. The young one seems good for only 17 years old though

Oh yes of course. But I dont follow the ladies that much at all. The ones I do know are Davenport,Kim, JHH,Venus and Serena, Maria of course and one or two others. Sort of lost interest a bit when the Williams girls fell away.
I used to follow it more in the days of Evert, Navtratilova then Graff etc.
I dont think its as appealing now.

Do you reallise Vaidisova is only days older than Amy.

They'll both be 18 next April.

It's great to see Kuznetsova back in another GS final - she's shown some great form this year, and fully deserves her rise back to the top.

Obviously Vaidisova will be disappointed that she didn't serve it out at 5-4 in the 2nd (giving Kuznetsova the break with a double fault), but I'm sure she's very proud of her achievements this fortnight. She's certainly established herself as a youngster with a great future - hopefully, for her sake, she can fulfil her potential.
