Is this like the hardest game ever? :yikes: I have been playing it for about a day and even when I have it on junior level I end up losing 6-0 6-0 :huh: I cant even hit a winner and neither can I hit an ace :cry:

Can anyone give me some help or tips on how to be better at it?

and also when you upgrade to the full game you can play a full world tour mode with all the real top 300 ranked players in challengers, IS tournaments and the Grand Slams, just like real life :) and I started on pro mode which is a difficult level and every match I played I just got battered 6-0 everytime! Even in the challangers :yikes: So i changed it to an easier level and still got trounced 6-0 6-0! The game against the comp in tour mode is much harder then when you first play the demo :( It is a good game though and well worth buying :) I just need to learn how to win a game let alone a set!

Dunno.. do you use the keyboard or do you have a joypad? It takes a bit of getting used to don't it with the keys..

Just tried this game.. can only seem to moonball the ball back to the centre of the court for the opponent to hit back at me even harder..!! roflmao

Oh, and my player seems to want to run sideways off teh court half the time! :yikes:

Trisco, Andy, how do you make the player hit the ball at an angle?? :shrug:

Don't use the up or down keys when hitting if you wanna do a good hard flat shot...

Also you have tomake sure you are positioned well... just like real life I guess..

Agreed.. there's this song that I have by the Tindersticks called 'City Sickness'.. and on a clear starry night I probably get some sort of city sickness as i just want to be away from street lights etc! Have happy memories of being in the middle of nowhere in Colorado just lying on my back watching shooting stars.. (drifts into reverie..!)

I just played a match in the world tour and just my luck I got dupuis in the first round of a challenger and he is ranked about 160 places above me :( Just got pasted!

I'm starting to get the hang of this now :D I just entered Las Vegas qualifying tournament ranked 298 in the world and hadnt won a match in 5 attempts, in fact hadn't won a set, i dont think even a game! My first match against E. Massa ranked 242 in the world I went into it expecting another tonking...But the score ended up 4-6 6-3 6-4 to me :D So now I was ecstatic having won my first proper match on the game!

2nd match... Had the 4th seed in qualifying D. Koellerer who was ranked 195th in the world, I knew I would be in for a very tough match and I won the first set 7-6 (4) Then it went downhill in the 2nd and it ended up 6-2 to him, so I knew I had to up the level in the last set and I eventually won the set 6-2 and the match :D Great win that was against a guy 100 places higher ranked than me! So that was 7-6 (4) 2-6 6-2.

Now I have got J. Faurel who is ranked 74th, yes 74th at the moment :( and so far this season he has won 7 lost 3, so this match is going to be a huge game, because not only would it be a great win if I could beat him but also if I win this I qualify for the main draw of the Las Vegas Open!

I am going to play the match later this afternoon, I'll tell you how I get on :) In fact I might even make this thread a career report thread on how people are doing on the game :D I suggest if you haven't bought the full game yet you should buy it because the world tour mode is outstanding and fully enjoyable!

Andy: You could always post a screenshot or two if you want to. :D


Do you guys normally play a serve and volley type game or baseline? I find a mixture of both seems to work quite well.

Yeah, mixture of both Yorkshire... although I am at work and won't be home until 8:30pm so I can't go on.. :(
