I don't know if this link has already been posted before.

If not, then just listen to this remarkable radio interview by Patrick McEnroe concerning the sportsman of the year award (by Sports Illustrated) going to Wade and not to Federer.

Thanks enrico very good stuff and fully agree with Patrick McEnroe: They should simply change the name as US sport of the year...But unfortunately, in that country, quite often US= World...Sad.

A bit sad that it sounds like he wasn't even considered! They are also asking questions about Federer's off-court credentials - he's a UN ambassador and has his own charity! If Federer was American.....

mightyjeditribble he is just right...

I mean all this business is so unfair...

I really do not understand these guys: Tennis is not a major sport in the US. OK. But FED gives them a great occasion: What best ambassador than him to increase interest on this sport? This is the best player in the last 10 years and by far? So come on...You skip him only because he is not American... :( :(

I mean it is so sad that this guy is not a star there simply because he is not American...But ok : Big country plenty of other sports...There are plenty of good reasons..

Still is a shame. and Patrik is right

Sad, but great to hear that nonamerican interests at least get a voice in the US by the Davies Cup Captain.

And furthermore there is some classy stuff from PMac in it: " ... don't insult our intelligence!"

I laugh when the Americans call the baseball end-of-year championships WORLD SERIES. Hello? I wouldn't call US and Canada the WORLD!!!!

You can bet if Fed was American he would have been voted King ages ago.
